View Full Version : So frikkin sick of my EE
LLXerxes Sep 21, 2004, 06:11 PM Alright.
So, I bought EE gold edition on Sunday, and installed it Monday Morning.
On Monday morning, it ran fine.
Then, I came home that afternoon and what do I find?
Every time I try to open the game, the screen goes blank and I have to turn it off, and on again.
Then, I do that over and over again, and, once in a blue moon, it works.
The disk isn't scratched, afaik.
And I'm gettin' so sick of it cause I have to reinstall everytime and lose all my saves
Any suggestions, besides getting a new one (which I doubt will happen)
andvruss Sep 21, 2004, 07:16 PM I know that it took CoD: MP and Uo:MP around 2 mins to load up when it usually takes 3 seconds. I defragged, and it was fast again.

shadowdude Sep 21, 2004, 07:23 PM Could be a problem in terms of compadibility with your graphics controller.
Dabomb18359 Sep 21, 2004, 07:27 PM Maybe you should defrag or not that but clean out your computer. Maybe you have a virus???

Thats around basically what happened to me.
Longasc Sep 22, 2004, 05:51 AM I know these problems, these symptoms are related to an aging CD-drive most of the time.
You might have trouble with the SafeDisc-Protection, too.
Solution 1:
Buy a new DVD/CD-drive and do not make it dirty again, cowboy.
Solution 2:
Klick the CD in the Explorer, and browse a bit there... TO SPIN YOUR DRIVE up before starting Empire Earth. Works quite well for some having issues.
Scandisk/Defrag your harddrive will probably not solve your problem, but you might do it nevertheless.
Solution 3: Get rid off the Copy Protection. The legal way to do so is to ask the Support, but hum... Good luck with that.
