Hello, this is my first try at this so I've probably screwed something up...
I have Civ III, Conquests and PTW...
First I downloaded the patches 1.20 and 1.22
Then I saved the GOTM in PTW but my computer wouldn't let me open the PTW CD, telling me to use Conquests instead...
So, I saved the GOTM in CivIII in a new folder I created called "Saves" and unzipped it...
Everything looked good until about halfway through loading the game when I got a "Load Error" - ".\Art\Units\eqWorker\eqWorker.INI" and the whole game crashed...
I tried it again, but got the same thing...
Any suggestions?

Hi Greeneye. :wavey: Welcome to the GOTM.

The PTW version is part of your installation of Conquests. However, the install doesn't place a shortcut for PTW on your desktop. With the Conquests CD in the CD or DVD Drive, click the Start button, then Programs, then Atari and you should find CivIII Play the World listed there. Put your cursor over that and then you should see Play the World listed. Click on that and it should put you in the game. Find the save and you should be in business.

If you know how to create a shortcut for your desktop, you can find the Civilization3X.exe file in the Civ3PTW folder of your Civ3 installation. Then it iwll be a double-click, with the Conquests CD in the drive, and you're off. Good luck in your game. :D

The eqWorker doesn't make an appearance in the PTW version as far as I know, as it's a modded unit, and PtW doesn't need mods for the current GOTMs.

So I deduce that you have downloaded the wrong start file - the CivIII one instead of the CivIII PTW one.

Hmmm...Thanks for the help, but now it's saying that a debugger has been detected and won't let me in... :-(

Atari technical support for 'debugger detected' puts the blame on third-party applications. Try here (http://www.atarisupport.com/newfaq/civilizationiii.php?browser=1&issueNum=186&osType=WINXP&pageDisplay=MAIN#faq_prodissues) for some suggestions.
