Chieftess Oct 01, 2004, 06:46 AM Term 2 Presidential Thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=98503) President - Chieftess VP - Furiey MOTH Oct 01, 2004, 07:23 AM VP - Furiey Your Majesty, My understanding is that the law requires an official appointment of deputy when the deputy is not selected as the result of an election. I humbly suggest that you make an official post on this matter. I am not trying to stir anything up and fully support your selection. It may be that with all the recent divisiveness we've seen, that someone will wish to challenge your selection, but I feel it would be better to get this out of the way up front. Thanks - Citizen MOTH Furiey Oct 01, 2004, 08:44 AM VP (hopefully) reporting in. I have no problem with anyone challenging my appointment - that's the way things work after all! I will do what I can to support CT as President, but that doesn't mean that I'll always agree with her - just look at some of the chatlogs from my term as president! If I think she's wrong I will say so. snipelfritz Oct 01, 2004, 03:41 PM Speaking of appointments, Ashburnham has requested that he be appointed Deputy Minister of Culture. I endorse his request and ask that you would do so. Long live the queen! Stuck_as_a_Mac Oct 01, 2004, 07:23 PM Hmm... this thread can also gain the annoying title. Minister of Trade reporting for duty! (slowly raises hand, salutes) SaaM MOT Civanator Oct 01, 2004, 09:34 PM Minister of State Authorized Violence reporting in. *crisp salute* Rik Meleet Oct 01, 2004, 10:11 PM Dear Ms President; Ms Vice-President. Welcome to the province of Zarnia. Let me be the host of the location for the term. If there is anything in the Governmental province of Zarnia you want to see, just give me notice. I am myself also new to these surroundings; perhaps a field trip with the three of us can gain us al valuable feedback on policy and intelligence on the citizens feelings, as well as an overwhelmingly view on Zarnia's beautiful landscapes and richess. I'm told that Cyc, mayor of Zojoji, has been able to produce some excellent wines. It is rumoured that his ancestors; DG1Cyc; DG2Cyc, DG3Cyc and DG4Cyc have all been tremendous wine-makers.... So if his wines are all based upon previous wines; we'll be tasting the liquid of Gods, deities or perhaps even Sid Meyer's ... But why babble about the past when we, even in times of war, can a relaxing class of wine <bottle of wine for the VP> ?? If the war or the political situation is too harsh on you ladies, drop me a carrier-pigeon and I'll be sending the coaches to pick you excellencies up and give you a treatment no-one has ever been able to give you. Again, Welcome to Zarnia province. Rik Meleet Governor of the capital province of Zarnia. Stuck_as_a_Mac Oct 04, 2004, 02:31 PM Madame President and Madame Vice President If I may pull you away from the vino for just a brief moment, I would like to discuss the matter at hand that our brave sailors across the sea have reported. They claim to be nearning land. It is the fabled "New World". I am formally requesting a short meeting of the government to make sure these sailors make it across the sea safely and thet the meet the people or peoples on the other side of the world Thank you SaaM MoT ravensfire Oct 04, 2004, 02:39 PM Madame President, I asked before, but did not get a reply. During his term, President DaveShack continued the tradition from late DG3 and all of DG4 of linking to saves and chat logs from the the Turn Chat index thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=94619). This thread is an excellent resource for all citizens to quickly and easily access the the past of our country to aid in planning for the future. Will you continue his lead, and update the thread for all of Term 2, and continue to do so for Term 3? -- Ravensfire Furiey Oct 04, 2004, 06:20 PM President Chieftess With regard to Ravensfire's request; I know sorting all the links out can take some time, but I agree with his view that it is an excellent and convienient resource. I obviously can't edit your post, but to save you a bit of time, here is your post from Term 2 with all the links added. Hope this is useful. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=102421) 24 hours (give or take a few) to post instructions is enough, I think. It's not just about getting instructions posted. It's also about giving citizens enough time to see the posted instructions and bring any irregularities to the attention of the appropriate leader(s) in time to get needed changes discussed and posted. I think it would be a great idea if the next game play instruction thread was created as soon as the current one ends. I realize the extent of the DP's responsibilites but it is possible to creat an instruction thread and then go back later and post the proper links and summaries. As long as the thread is created leaders can post instructions. Ginger_Ale Oct 25, 2004, 05:22 PM Yep, I agree on that - the earlier the better. There is no harm in posting it early. Furiey Oct 26, 2004, 06:20 AM I'm off to the airport - hope the rest of the term goes well and good luck to everyone in the elections! Cyc Oct 26, 2004, 03:07 PM Have a great vacation, Vice President Furiey. |
