1. Build culture to fight back against the Babs.
2. Expand Regent Town into the largest most productive town possible.
3. Prepare for eventual war against the Babs and Iroqs.

Adding that space in Hai Rando really helps with the aesthetics. Congratulations.

Honorable Governor Rik,
I have previously made this request of Governor Zarn last term, but I want to repeat it and ask you in this term. I would like to borrow the use of the unimproved bonus grass between Eridu and Immo. This allows Eridu to have surplus food and one additional shield at this time. If you feel that Immo needs this tile I will return its use to Zarnia at your request.

Thanks - MOTH
Governor of HairandoThat is fine; with it Immo is at 9 spt or 11 spt; and without it at 10 spt. Immo doesn't need it yet. Please do request it again after the TC. The land-lease-act is only valid for 1 TC - period.

Yes, MOTH, I do. If you can get some suggested build queues, that would be great - if not, I'll look at the save and generate some. Checking in as well for another term. :)

Faithful deputy,
I have been unable to get accurate founding dates for most of our towns as I still can't manage to get vanilla running. Could you please look these up.

First thing in the morning I'm off to Maine for some folliage and boating, so please post instructions. If you see anything in the forums sugesting alternatives then please consider them.

Thanks - MOTH

Ok, I am downloading the save today - if I get the dates of cities founded, I'll edit them into this post. I will use your instructions, and if I see anything that should be changed, well, I'll do it. ;) Have a great weekend, fall is a great season.

I was looking though the save and before I saw GA's post above I noted these dates for city founding:
Epelenop = 1725 BC
Eridu = 850 BC
Manchai = 130 BCThought I'd still post them, might save you a bit of time GA.

hmm... just looked up Hairando(u)...

"hairan" = "ovulate"
"dou" = path (or how to).

I think this province should be renamed. ;)

Unless it was the governor's origanal (and slightly perverted) sense of it being a settler factory. :undecide:)

So, yes. This is an official warning to change the name of the province, which is innapropriate for the forum.

As the Governor is away, the Deputy Governor requests this province goes to "Estangia" for the time being, until he comes back. Ms. President, please approve or disapprove...is that enough to get it changed?

 Chieftess. Although I see your point to change the name, I don't think it was MOTH's intention to name his province after that... process.

Governor of HairandoI've said that it was ok for that turnchat.

Does the governor of Hair-proivnce still need the tile or can Hair-province take care of their own tiles now? If it does, I am not sure if I can prolong the land-lease-act. It depends on what the people want with Immo. If Immo needs that tile; it is Immo's. If Immo doesn't need it, you can borrow it for another 100 years (or how long the TC lasts).

Is this acceptable ?

Regards,
Rik Meleet
Governor of Zarnia province.

I encourage the Governor to take advantage of our Golden Age of Prosperity and build improvements instead of Samurai. When all useful improvements, or if an improvement would be irrelevant to the city, are completed then continue with the productuion of Samurai.

HAI-RANDO Tentative Build Queues for 610AD TCIT:
I haven't refferred to the save file, so there could be some really stupid stuff. Please feel free to point them out.

Build Queues & Laborer allocation:
Manchai: Library, Galley

Epolenep: Marketplace, Samurai

Regent Town: Marketplace, University
Nihilon: Library, Catapult
Laborer Allocation: move from BG to irrigated Desert as Immo needs the tile back.

Governor Rik,
I have included in my instructions that the laborers in my city of Nihilon stop working on the BG near Immo. It seems that when you ordered the production of Workers (and no longer worked the tile) that Nihilon's newly born laborer couldn't help but labor these lush lands. If it is possible, I wouldn't mind if we could work this tile, but I leave that up to you.

I also wanted to point out that in this post (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2252268&postcount=29) I have requested from the Ministry of War that defensive garrisons be considered for two cities in my province as well as Furuyama in your province. If the MSAV agrees then Furuyama should have a garrison of one regular spearman by the end of the next Turn Chat.

Thanks - MOTH
Governor of HAI-RANDOFellow Governor,

Immo doesn't need that tile this TC. You can use it.
Thank you for informing me of the defenses. But fortunatley I was already aware of this. Especially Zojoji and Furuyama are low on defense. I have requested that no defensive units are to be removed from the cities, including those currently being build.

Governor of Zarnia
Rik Meleet.

Governor MOTH,

I have here submitted my request for Gubernatorial Endorcement of new Provincial Borders.

I am proceeding with my plan specified in Post 11 in the Term 3 Provincial Congress. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2233598&postcount=11)

The Specific item I need your consent on is the border between Hai Rondo and Territoria Triba. As indicated, your "contribution" is merely to accept the extent of Hai Rondo as being the current Province, plus potentially Babylon and the Iroquois Colony of Tonawanda.

I thank the Governor for his consideration.

Hi Detail,
I'm the current deputy governor for Hai-rando province. I help by assisting MOTH with the running of this province. The current cities that do not have mayors are: Manchai, Gerunshi, Epolenep, Nihilon, and TBD (soon to be named :) ). If you look on the first page of this thread, you can see all of these cities, except for TBD (it is about in the area of the lone hill in the desert). If you would prefer any of these cities to be mayor, please post it here. You can help us by looking in the current save file (in the turnchat threads in the main forum), going to your city, and providing us with up to date statistics about the city, micromanaging (moving laborers around), tiles that need to be improved, and what we should build in that city. We consider your suggestions when making instructions for our President when they play the turns.

Of course. I will wait for MOTH to edit the first post in - meanwhile, feel free to create a thread about Manchai here in the Government forum, with statistics and info about the city. :) Then we will link that thread to this thread. Your welcome, hope this is fun!

I'll say it again here:

Do not extend the proposal beyond our current borders. The provinces layed out in those directions are short sighted and are, even now, far too large and badly organized. The only change needed is to seperate Rome. When and if we conquer anything else we can chop it up however.

Ginger Ale,
Thanks for the help if its ok with you I'd like to be mayor of Manchia. I'll take a look at the .sav file and get to work. Thanks for the help its appreciated.

Good choice. This will become a powerful city eventually. I have edited the first post. Many of the mayors setup a thread for the city itself and do some role playing. If you have updated pictures in the thread of the city detail view and maybe the birds eye view this also helps. I can link the thread into the first post once you've set it up.

You can post suggested build queues (usually extending at least 15 turns) and laborer allocation in this thread. I will take your advice unless there is some other goal that has been requested of me.

As far as labor allocation, througout the golden age I had moved laborers to maximize shield production. It may be better to emphasize food and commerce for a while now.

A little history, Manchai has provided a couple of the veteran galleys currently nearby.

As of now, This poll (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=102910) shows a great sentiment towards colonizing the other continent, and a middling sentiment in intervening in the Sino-German War if at all possible.

Therefore, I would like the Governor to consider possible contributions to any overseas plans, as this would be the TC in which we would "build" the "Expeditionary force".

MOTH
Oct 23, 2004, 09:25 AM
@SDI3,
What would you suggest? I can have Manchai build a caravel and Regent Town build Samurai, but due to lack of improvemed terrain most of the other cities are not productive enough to help much due to the high corruption.

Sir Donald III
Oct 23, 2004, 10:26 AM
A Caravel or two from Manchai would be great.

In Regent... either Samurai or Musketmen would be good. (Samurai are multi-purpose, but Muskets can upgrade to the Resource-free Rifles for 40 Gold and a 'rax, IIRC)

HAI-RANDO 1090 AD Instructions:

Epolenep: University, Worker, Cavalry
Laborer: move from diamond mountain to river hills for additional food.

Regent Town: Cav, Musket, Worker, Musket

Nihilon, Manchai: no change from save

Gerunshi: Aquaduct, Library, Marketplace

Drachenfels: Marketplace, Worker, Aquaduct

Requested Worker actions: please Mine 2 hills and a Diamond mountain (south) near Epolenep. Mine 2 hills near Manchai including the horse. Mine the hill to the SW of Regent Town. Mine the hill next to Nihilon. Maybe also cut down the forest South of Regent town & road + mine it - that way we get 10 shields, the same food/production, and +1 commerce .

Thoughts for the population at large: Gerunshi is now in a culture showdown and has only a temple. Should we concentrate on culture instead of growth?

Ginger_Ale
Oct 28, 2004, 08:24 AM
Epolenep: Looks fine, however, a Cavalry would take 16 turns to complete (but if we move the laborer to the hills and grow, then I think it would be ok). It's your choice here.

Regent Town: Perfect. This city has lots of production.

Nihilon, Mancahi, Gerunshi: Yep, those are all good improvements to build.

Drachenfels: That's good. This city does need an aqueduct, but not *that* quick. It'll grow in 15 turns, so we have time.

Worker Actions: Maybe also cut down the forest South of Regent town & road + mine it - that way we get 10 shields, the same food/production, and +1 commerce .

About Gerunshi: After the aqueduct, it could build a library in 20 turns. If we switch now, we can complete it, but waste 9 shields. I'd wait until the aqueduct and/or marketplace finishes (preferably before the marketplace).

Thanks for a great term MOTH. :)
