What exactly is the point in building Stealth Fighters? They don't have any attack/defense values, so they can't shoot down other planes even if Air Superiority DID work, so in essence they are basically a weakened Stealth Bomber. An F-15 can do everything a Stealth Fighter can do and more, while stil having an attack/defense value. I don't know about this whole 'stealth' stuff, as SAM sites etc don't even work!:mad: Any thoughts?

Stealth planes are almost immune to sam batteries / interception. I forget the exact percentages, but almost impossible to kill the stealth planes.

I have yet to bulid fighters yet, because my previous games were all cheiftain and there was no need for them.. But in my warlord game i will soon be needing some to defend myself.

In answer to your question, Stealth Fighters are Stealth Bombers that have a weaker attack but are 1/2 as expensive and can serve as long range scouts in enemy airspace. So they do have their uses!

Still, it seems like an F-15 is the better of the two. It may not have 'stealth' but it has a good chance of shooting down an intercepting plane, and it's bombard is the same. It can even carry out precision strikes and do air superiority.

1) Air superiority doesn't work, yet! So there isn't going to be a use for the F-15 that way OR a regular jet fighter.

2) You assume that everyone is going to play the Americans. This isn't going to be the case a lot of the time. I prefer the Persians myself, even though I am an American.

3) The whole need for Stealth is to get through without being detected. That won't happen with the F-15.

Stealth fighters do have their place, but much like the battleship to the destroyer, a little more will go a long way. If it only takes a turn or 2 more to get the bigger unit, Stealth bomber in this case to the stealth fighter, then go for it. But stealth fighters are useful if you just need to get some aircraft out in the battlefield.
