This is the North Carolina Class battleship of the USN. There were two ships of this class built, the North Carolina and Washington. Both saw extensive combat in WW2.

Are those scout planes flying away in the animation? I love the explosion on this one. Great unit.

Kinboat, yes, the scout planes are flying away. I animated them doing a loop as they fly away, so it may look odd at first.
