View Full Version : Thrones And patriots, a step backwards?
LLXerxes Oct 13, 2004, 06:47 AM I was very disappointed when I bought Thrones and patriots,
Besides the new Civs and the senate building it was horrible.
Conquer the world was THE WORST THING EVER while miltiplayer was messed and everthing
I can go on and on but anybody else agree? I'd much rather have the Regular RoN
Flintlock Oct 14, 2004, 05:42 PM Sorry, but T&P is definitely better, the new civs are awsome, and the scenarios are great (although they have a rather low replay value, IMHO). The only problem I find is that the government system could've been designed a bit better, so you could go backwards (like democracy to despotism). Besides that, I haven't yet tried mp, so I can't judge that.
E-Honda Oct 15, 2004, 02:33 PM I feel like a dog on a choker chain between two in heat vixens.
So what is the final thought on Thrones and Patriots?

The conquer the world campaigns were great. I dont know how one would see it as a step backards from RoN...

covok48 Dec 28, 2004, 02:47 PM I like the expansion, but a few sides could use some more UU's.
Gnarfflinger Dec 28, 2004, 11:34 PM I just snagged RoN gold, so I can't tell ya.
Ciceronian Jan 25, 2005, 11:50 AM Personally, I think it's great! I never played the originial much, but the campaigns of the addon are really quite fun, especially the Alexander one.
@Gnarfflinger: Damnit, you have the same Avatar as I do!!!!!!
MikeH Jan 26, 2005, 04:45 AM If you bought the Gold version, you can still play the original by double-clicking on the Rise.exe file in your RoN folder.
AndrewH Feb 19, 2005, 05:40 PM Civ III owns Rise Of Nations. By far.
Sid Feb 21, 2005, 03:16 AM I love RoN: I love C3C, but they're different experiences.
