Congrats Epi and good luck!

To add: First turnchat with instructions from Edo was in 110 AD so that is the date of establishment.
And Shorin-Ryu has a mayor: Gregski.

Invy, you're still governor til 7pm EDT tonight, so you could just appoint yourself.

Now I have to go back and censor all the posts I made before I read this....

Invy, you are now mayor of Shorin-Ryu. Good luck. I'm sure you'll do well.

Starting sometime in the Second TC, we would likely be able to construct Railroads.

Since the benefits of railroads are the same (instant transportation and +1 to Irrigation or Mines) whether the rail line is direct or serpentine, I would like you to ask your Mayors which tiles they would most like to be improved upon. Mined and Irrigated Tiles will be the only ones considered for these requests. (Doesn't mean I won't RR un"improved" tiles, but I would like to see your preferences.)

Nobody is now mayor of Duckburg (heh). Let's all welcome him to the administration.

Hlobane has recently defected to our side, so another mayorship position is open. We also still need a deputy governor, especially since I'm very close to resigning in disgust and spending the time saved to smoke more.

And mayors, as SD3 said, please request where you would like rails first. Usually its my policy to build straitforward lines, and then fill it in, however you can request whatever you want for them.

Mayors, please post any build queue, laborer, or worker requests for the next chat. They will be taken into account for the instructions.

Governor, I suggest to build Cavalries this TC. Then try to bring a wonder in Shorin-Ryu. We will soon be able to build Military Academy and Heroic Epic, and since Shorin-Ryu is the most productive Japanatican city I think Military Academy would be better choice for building Armies later on.

Railroads: Red line is main railroad connecting Zarnia with Edo. Green line is optional rail network for increasing production. I suggest insisting to President on building both lines to get maximal production for future builds which will hopefully be Armies.

I think I saw in another thread that Epi has a 3 day ban for curse words. As there is no deputy I'm not sure who would post instructions.

As some of you might have noticed, I have been gone for the past three days. Edo happened to have me as its only official, and I was out, so there were no instructions. Appearantly this crisis has been averted. Which is good. Knowing what to do in that situation will be helpful. As was eventually noticed, I was banned for three days. I don't know who did it, for the same reason no one else knew it happened: no one said anything. I can appreciate not having an announcement about it (not that I would mind), though I think a pm would be nice. There was a note, but since the post it was attached to didn't exist, it didn't help out much. So, thanks to that and its timing, a great deal of confusion was caused.

As for why I was banned, the worst profanity I said in that post was "***." I didn't actually say "ass," because I'd been told to behave myself (not that ass is something that is usually censored), so I replaced it with *s. And I was banned. The sentence was this: "If the term wasn't over I would have slammed all your ***es with a court case so fast..." as I remember. The point is, I was banned for saying ***, while what the stars were replacing wasn't even ban worthy. This isn't the first time, before I was banned for "evading the autocensor," meaning censoring myself, during an important election, which I lost to an early lead gained while I was "out."

But, whether or not that ban was reasonable, it happened. It happened without the moderator telling anyone, even me. It happened for no good reason, since I actually censored myself. And it happened at probably the worst possible time. While I was gone my city was given a different project, I lost my pet project (which had been completed a century earlier), and I missed my first turnchat. My term lasted one day, and not even one turnchat. And that is all its going to last, because I'm quitting.

So I hereby join the ranks of Donsig, Donovan Zoi, and Nixon in resigning my positions as Governor, Mayor, and City Naming Officer.

I might stick around, though I doubt it. At this point the game is dead to me. Most likely I'll just leave and spend the time I save smoking.

If you want to blame anyone, I say blame the moderator. Maybe your doing so will prevent any future bans for words like "crap," "damn," and "poo."

Since there is no deputy, the Honorary Deputy, Tommy Chong, is now Governor of Edo. He has appointed Cheech Marin as his Deputy, not surprisingly.

Well Epimethius, I am sorry to hear you leave now that I started to like you. You have been entertaining and a cool asset to the game, and I can assure you that I have lost several pet projects already. No question about it, I lost the Ringi Doctrine, the Defensible Border Doctrine, I lost the proper timing of the Roman War, I lost the placement of a future good pet city (LOL you gave me Kagemusha, but I made something fun out of it) and finally I lost the closure of a Forbidden Palace placement in Doomsville to petty Veii, just to see that some peaceniks voted Cavalry Army for the great leader, vehemently ignoring it would need first blood to build military wonders, they decided to also vote for a ceasefire and keep Salamanca at the same time.

But I learnt my lesson, and met hard steel with hard steel, and the deal is to involve enough people into your case so that the opposition become isolated and insignificant.
Now that we have some military wonders coming up, and Odawara just completed Newtons College, it stands on the same position as Zojoji with its Copernicus Observatory, and I think Odawara can compete on the military wonders as well.

Anyways, we pressed the border so far southeast, that all of us are happy that the new capital went father south, and so should you be. Pride and corruption does not fly well together.

first off do you ever learn epi? (you have done this b4)
you never talk about a mod thing in the public, plus besides being against forum rules it really distracts from the dg.
Anyways if you want a hint on the banning read the post you got banned for...
Also leaving because of being banned for a totally good reason is just childish, I think it is more because you lost your FP, and all I can say is that is a democracy
This game also isnt dead, it just needs someone reviving and that will happen
Farewell

To me a democracy means freedom. If I can't criticize someone in a democracy, I don't want to be in it.

Not to mention that this isn't much of a democracy anyway, and most of you don't want it that way. You want to get your way, with democracy when you can. And when you don't, you all complain about it. You may not go as far as I have here, but you do. The only difference with my leaving is that I was screwed by the Man, not by the People. I accept what the People gave me. I'm not leaving or complaining because the People didn't like my idea. I don't accept what I was given here, which has absolutely nothing to do with democracy.

if you had read them you would know that you cant comment on mod rulings and my joining you agreed to knowing and following the rules

Lord Epimethuis;

Please keep the budget in mind when considering building improvments and units. Much of our budget is dependent on foriegn nations. Also, more units under a 'free' government (if we revolt) would mean a much higher maintainence.

Governors, stop building cavalrys please, we do not need more cavalrys since we are the mightiest nation so far. If we are to war against any major nation, we would use
modern troops, and take out small attacks with more old material.

Cavalrys cannot upgrade.

Unfortunately Epi, the way the Judiciary seems likely to rule on this matter will give the president the ability to do what he wants if no legal build queues are issued. I will urge the president to appoint a replacement governor as soon as possible.

I realize there is no acting governor,
But if anyone does TC orders/build queues please include the following:

1. Build Military Academy in Shorin-Ryu pending confirmation by the Culture Ministry.

2. Please refer to the culture minister's instructions on the possibility of building Heroic Epic and/or Universal Suffrage in En'Gha or Corrino.

Introductory Briefing to Term IV Administration

The Term IV Edo Province Adminisration No Longer Exists.

Hey, I can screw up moderator actions!

And make my own!

You can also be banned for editing mod tags. But, since you were already banned during that period, this is a strong warning not to do that again.

Game career. I thought that sounded a bit melodramatic. I mean that it lead me to quit and stop trying to get anyway, or even care. Certainly not my real career, which right now doesn't exist, either. :p
