I heard this one on 'Prairie Home Companion' tonight. I'll try to recreate it...

George W. Bush dies in about 20 years, and meets God at the pearly gates of Heaven. God offers him the option of Heaven or Hell, and shows him the following images:

Heaven: Very serious people sitting around discussion morality, Truth, philosophy, the nature of the universe, etc. Their lives are Spartan, but they appear happy.

Hell: Suburban America. Medium sized white houses, with picket fences. Children romp in the streets, and everyone drives a decent car and smiles at their neighbors.

Bush says that he had always assumed he would prefer Heaven, but after seeing this Hell, he would like to spend eternity their instead.

God accepts his choice, and GWB finds himself among tortured souls and fiery demons. He says to God "This is not what you showed me!", to which God responds "That was just campaigning. Now that you voted for it you will have to live with it."

Sorry...I don't tell jokes well in real life either. ;)

Yeah...I've heard that one before. Although the one I heard had Bush's father and all other republican's in hell golfing and having a good time...

Is there re-election in Hell?If not,the campaign could be called "Propaganda" as Fascists and Communists did perfectly...and I don't see Bush connected with these nasty politicans. He's a little brute and naive(?),but not that bad,I think people around the world overestimate his mistakes.

I've heard the exact same one about Bill Gates, and instead of campaigning it was a software demo... but since I liked the first version, I guess I should like this one too :)
