Yeah, but I don't think Mondale ever really had a shot at winning.

And yeah, it is a lot of democrats because there have been considerably more Republican Presidents, and most of these are the guys who lost. But remember... up until the beginning of the 20th century, the Democrats were the conservatives... ;)

But of the ones I have here who never actually were candidates all but Huey Long were Republican.
