i was waiting to play a multiplayer game and when they started it up to play i went back to the menu screen of civ3

i had put the tick thing is... do i need a patch or something in order to play online or would it be because i was playing online with PLW or what? anybody have the wisdom i seek?

just found it i gotta mess about with me firewall or summit :S
