Is there anybody out there who gets FAST multiplayer??

I am more interested in hearing from those who get FAST multiplayer, ie hardly noticable lag between turns.

Does this EVER happen?

Damn it.

I want to play an epic game on LAN with a few friends and invariably, and suffering through the horrible lag up past the middle ages, then suffering a higher frequency of desynchs in the modern era makes this game... dare I say... UNPLAYABLE. It makes me want to :aargh:

What is wrong with this? It's just a bunch of numbers going back and forth, I don't get it at all.

Me, but only against certain people, mostly you gotta know who has the high speed internet deally and who has the wheel and mouse.

Playing Multiplayer often without issue.
1+Mb internet connection with 1/2 friends that have same connection.

It works well

I play multiplayer with 3 computers on a LAN. Two of the computers are fast (2.7ghz, and 3.0ghz) and the other one is slow (low ghz, low memory, old computer). However the games go fairly quickly. Until about the modern age it's almost as fast as single player.
