I am running Civ3 on winXP and everytime i get to a certain age change..the game always crashes.I have redownloaded the latest patch...and i am goin to see if that works...i anyone has any other ideas in the mean time i would greatly appreciate it.

Go to your C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Art/EraSplash folder, and see if you have the following 4 files: ancient.PCX, MEDIEVAL.PCX, INDUST.PCX, and modern.PCX. If you don't this is most likely because of glitch when installing. If you reinstall, this would most likely fix your problem. :)

You don't have to re-install if you just are missing these files (in this case anyway), go to this thread and download these modded Era Splashes, they are better versions of the same pictures.
