Just finished my first win on Deity with Aztecs. I am curious as to how much of a difference the civilization makes.

Was it a "fair" win? (no save/reloading, editor changes or some kind of cheating)

If it was, then I'm really impressed. My best performance on deity is survival until someone get tanks :D

Hmmmm, I'm expecting a lot of people voting 'None'...So far I have not been able to play up to that level yet, and I don't think that I will ever be able to.. In Civ2, I could only make it up to King Level.

None. At the rate I'm going, I *might* have passed Regent by the end of the summer...:lol:

NONE- I'm only on my second game and getting kicked on Warlord :(

Talar, yes it was without save/reloading, editor changes, and cheats. The ai still can't wage a competent war.

Sure. As soon as I'm done with the GOTM I'll play a normal map with max opponents. 15 opponents? My second deity game was on huge with 15 opponents on continents and I lost to space race pretty early. Once you figure out how to get around corruption (despotism, communism), outproduce the computer (use mass workers to plant and harvest trees each turn for 10 shields per), and to be aggressive and not passive it is possible. Not sure how to win on a huge map and especially a huge islands map though...

It seems that the most effective way to win on deity is by wagin a full out war??? It took me three tries to win on Cheiftain, but right now in Warlord, my first time, it looks like im gonna win!! It seems warlord is easier than cheiftan.

btw Graeme, I've never played a game against only 1 Civ nor 2. Its actually easier to defeat 3 civs on deity than 1. You'd have to start pretty close together to have a chance.
