Every time i try to download Civ: PTW and Conquests (Both dont work) it stops and freezes and says something about a DirectX reading error. But i reinstalled the new direct x 9. something and it still has the same problem.. i bought the game awhile back, and this problem has only recently happened... since i restored my computer and tryed to reinstall these two games...the original civ still works too... :( could the disk be scratched or what?

Are you downloading this legally, ie, after you bought it? You talk about having a disk and downloading - are you trying to reinstall it, or get the game?

The only thing that's for download is the Civ3 demo. If you're trying to download the entire game, then that's warez, and it isn't allowed on these forums.

No i was trying to download off the disks... i think the disk was broken, (Both conquests and PTW) because i recently was pissed and bought the Complete version, and it has worked perfectly ever since :)

- I also got the disks from Wal-Mart ;)
