Umm... I'm not sure if this question should go directly in the Mapstat threads, but ever since I downloaded Dianthus's Suite thingy, civing has been unbearingly slow. Workers are moving slower than a snail... it takes a minute to walk one tile... what's going on?

Press Control, Alt, Delete...can you look at the Process tab? There, do you see the Civilization3.exe and Mapstat.exe (or something similarly named)? What of the CPU are they taking up? And whatever when just Civilization3.exe is open, with no Mapstat. It may or may not be a problem with Mapstat - maybe your computer just doesn't have enough memory to support it. Do other utilities/programs work when Civ3 is open? If so, maybe it's just Mapstat takes too much memory.

Those are just some suggestions.

I've deleted Mapstat and it's still lags... At least I've deleted Mapstat. Does Mapstat go into my saves and put something there?

No, it doesn't (and neither does CivAssist (I use that one)).

They open + analyze your save. Did you delete or uninstall it? Perhaps asking this question in the Mapstat thread would be better, no? I've never used it, so I can only imagine that it isn't causing the problems...

I couldn't find an unistall thingy on it... so I deleted it.

Go to your Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs, and select CRpSuite - that should do an *official* uninstall..

Then check and see if your CPU is back up to normal speed when you play civ.

I didn't do what you told me to do... but it worked! Apparantly a reinstall worked... now I just have to patch it again and redowload the GOTM mods.
