I had the GOTY edition of Civ3 then I bought Conquests. I know that I have played the PTW version before since I've done a GOTM before. Well now PTW executable is asking for the PTW CD. I never had one. I've tried the Conquests CD in both of my CD drives but to no avail.... I'd like to get the QSC done in the next couple of days for the GOTM 38 but I have dial up and won't be able to download the Mod pack for the vanilla version to run GOTM.

Can anyone help please!!!

Find the Civilization3x.exe on the Conquests cd and put it into the PTW directoy.

You didn't try patching, did you?

I copied the Executable over to the PTW folder on my hard drive and everything worked ok. Funny that the old PTW executable was bigger than the one on the CD.

No patches for PTW but I did have to patch C3C up to 1.22. That shouldn't have effected the PTW folder, correct? Oh well it seems to work now. Thanks for your help.

No, the 1.22 patch shouldn't affect PTW.
