I'm bashing through the single player conquer the world campaign, but I'm finding the game is going far too fast. I've played for perhaps 10ish turns, and I'm already able to upgrade in battle to the industrial age! I've only just had time to conquer Europe, let alone the world...

Other than that, 'tis a good game. Will probably get the expansion.

The expansion is pretty good. Can't you slow down the game speed?

I always thought that referred to the in-game speed, which I think is fine. It's the speed of tech advancement in the Conquer the World campaign which I don't like...
