I've looked thru this forum and haven't seen an answer for this.

I have all the games, but the problem I have is with vanilla Civ 3 version 1.29f.
I cannot launch my spaceship. When I press the launch button, the screen goes black, there are a series of beeping<not windows, must be part of the launch> and then I am back on my desktop. No error message, nothing.

I thought this might be a problem with a video, but the opening video works fine. I uninstalled and re-installed <god what a hassle> but had the same problem. I have un-installed and re-installed again <having forgotten to back up my save> so now I've come here looking for help before it happens again.
