Edward - not much info given. How shall people help you?

I found two maps that were absolutely abysmal, I am sure I can help you with your problem.

First: Upload a screenshot AND/OR a savegame!

Then I will take a look.

I started another game, yes the maps are appauling! I've fought Morgan and have won his ship... 40 gun large frigate! Also this dancing stuff is locking me out of most of the quests I think. Thanks for the help.

I am a dancing god, its not that hard. All it takes is some practice and you can dance the night away even at the harder levels.

Honestly, dancing just takes practice. After a while you know the partterns. When you get dancing shoes, some mistakes are ignored. With that i can danc the whole dance without a single mistake.

1st. Get teh dancing shoes.
2nd. Learn teh pattern for each song. If you understand teh pattern, you can get a flourish on almost every move.

Now, this may sound like a dumb answer, but the first time I tried finding a treasure, I had two maps - one for the treasure and one for a lost relative. When I looked at the treasure maps, I didn't understand that these were two SEPARATE maps - I thought they were connected. So I kept looking at both maps, trying to figure out where to go, but half the time I was looking at the wrong map! So, make sure you understand that the 'treasure maps' are each a single screen, and the left and right arrows on the edges take you through the stack of ALL the treasure/lost relative maps you've got.

Also, learn to use the 'spyglass' to see a better overview of where you are. (I'm just learning to do this and haven't completely grasped it yet.) One of the things you can see with the spyglass is the different coastlines and towns around you, and that can help you orient where you are on the treasure map.

The treasure spot is marked by a pile of stones with a skull and crossbones on it - you may be able to spot it with your spyglass. When you see it, move to it, and the treasure opens - you don't need to 'dig' for it.

hope this helps!
