Is there any way to make C3C MP games with more than 8 players?

And if it was, there would be a very big lag isssue with the later(even early in some cases) stages of the game... I think the 8 will be fine :)

First time poster asking dim question:

Is it possible to create a scenario with 8 human players and a number of AI players? I'm building a WW2 scenario with a large number of players and obviously I'm a bit gutted that they won't all be able to play.
However, the scenario does rather hinge on having AI minor nations. Could I, for example, have eight human players and a number of AI-run minor nations in the same game?
(Here's hoping the answer is yes, or all my glorious work will be undone!)

I was looking for this myself.

You would have thought someone would have developed a patch to enable more then 8....even if it were slow...it would be good.

I'm going to surf around..see what I can find.

The best use of a more-than-eight capability would be PBEM games. Not that you'd want more than 8 human players, b/c the turn-around would be crazy, but just to play many of the conquests with the proper balance and gameplay. Reducing the number of players to eight in the Middle Ages and Napolean conquests makes them not nearly what they could and should be. Way too much consolidation.
