Seven Imperial ships for Goldflashes' Warhammer 40,000 mod.

They are, from top to bottom -

Battleship

Carrier B

Carrier A

Cruiser

Advanced Destroyer

Destroyer

Transport

All include sounds, pedia pics and a units32. I would advise using the 'ranged attack' ability for these ships because of their size. Plus the Battleship, Cruiser and Advanced Destroyer MUST have the 'rotate before attack' ability given to them since they attack with broadsides :)

Battleship (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicBattleship.zip) 2.6MB
Carrier B (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicCarrierB.zip) 2.2MB
Carrier A (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicCarrierA.zip) 2MB
Cruiser (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicCruiser.zip) 1.7MB
Advanced Destroyer (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicDestroyerB.zip) 1.4MB
Destroyer (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicDestroyerA.zip) 0.9MB
Transport (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads8/GothicTransport.zip) 1MB

All the units run like below. I hope it looks ok 'cos these are my first sea-units :goodjob:

The animation is not really designed to play in a loop but the preview loops it anyway.

As Ur Mum said. They're sea-going ships that were based on Imperial space-ships

Hey Muffins, I see you've got your ships done! Very Unique looking units!

I must have been posting those 3d models I talked about almost at the same time you were posting this thread or else I would have put them here.

Anyway, I posted them to your Imperial Warship Preview Thread. Let me know what you think. I believe I've dug up something pretty good?

Oh, yes there are  - i thought the shadows in the previews are barrels of guns :mischief: . I stand corrected. :)

My fault for making the shadows a bit dark :)

Goldflash me old matey, I've got three spaceship models to do for Sword of Geddon. After that I'm on a big secret project (WH40K, unit type of project :) )

I'm not going to tell anyone what's in the project 'cos it's really huge for me and I don't want to promise units that I may not be able to deliver.

lots of stuff for the remaining factions in that mod no doubt....Goldflash was smart to pick Warhammer 100000000000k for a mod, considering how many of the unit creators are into it(Smoke, TGA and you Muffins)

Now I can certanly use these ships for my Imperialism Mod. Man im constantly updating my mod everytime a new unit pops in.

These ships would be good for the Digital Age (Think Pre-Robot war in the Matrix Renassance part 2, but im planning to leave out the Mechs and use Galatic Empire units for upgrade for my Armor and Armored Cavalry units)

I guess I was hoping they would be more true to the Gothic ships. The Cobra (which would double as a sub -- given its torpedo attacks), the Sword, the Firestorm, the Dauntless...with the Dictator (or even the Mars) being the alt-carrier and crafting a whole new carrier on the regular Impy cruiser body. And I guess I don't understand why they are naval vessels, but I can't complain about the quality. Great work again.

They all look great... I particularly like the rippling water in the run preview. I'll have to borrow that effect if I ever make a boat :D

I've already got those models :) You got them from 3D-Cafe, right? They are good models, but Games Workshop have updated their whole Rhino model range so it means scratch-building a new model if I ever want to do the Rhino or any vehicle based on the Rhino

It may be possible to could get all of muffin's warhammer Units and make a Warhammer 40k scenario, or make a mod. Like, after the Modern times era make a 40,000 era. That might be cool.

Muffins,

In front of your awsome work, might I suggest you make the unit for WH40K space ships but in space (not on water). If we make special tile with water = space and land = planet, we can make a full WH40K:CivIII. I will need some ground troops, with smaller and more nummerous model in it so has to represent armies (I prefer model showing a squad toward only one unit for the infantry).

You will do no such thing. I'm already making a 40K mod, and have been since july. Infact, twas I who requested these ships. So step off my Koolaid, please.

You could just edit the ini so that the Run entry points to the default animation, that should work (I don't know what you could do for a death animation though).

As for multi-units you could do that yourself with existing units, Steph's Storyboard Builder (SSB) and FLICster.
