If you set in a scenario properties (with an editor) "the base unit time" to "monthes" the game will automatically write your saved game as:

(your name) of the (your civ), Jan., 60 AD.SAV

With the name of the month inserted between your name and the year.
In this way the game don't load automatically the last game saved, but it opens the load screen with two dots instead of the name of the last .sav game.

Well, that may seem like a bug, but it is exactly what you'd expect from a game that runs on DOS-based OS - a dot seperates the file name and the extension.

I suppose who made the option to change "the base unit time" knew this is a game that runs on DOS-based OS or do you think they forgot it?!

...also if it looks like if a simple "," can spoil the save game engine.

Tradition. In Civ2, it was even worse.
In the WW1 Scenario, the date was in month as well; in German, March = März - but umlauts in the save prevented it from being recognized :wallbash:. And, you couldn't even manualy delete those saves, since the file was considered corrupted...
