I just purchased a new Samsung TFT-LCD flat screen, set it up and now my game wont run. I get the auto play menu, click Play and we're back at desktop. Does anyone have a suggestion on why this is happening, is it the monitor, or just dumb timing ?

I'm not that good with computers, so any help would be great!

yes -> update monitor drivers. Option 2. Downgrade monitor drivers! Somehow older drivers sometimes, just sometimes, fix a problem.

no -> not your monitor.


Obscure possibility:
something to do with game resolution.
the Config.ini file (usually found in the game saves directory, under My Documents -> My games) can be manually edited to change resolution. Try setting the values for resolution lower, then try higher!!

Related: try Pirates in safe mode.
Try turning all of the various vid options in the Config to 1, then try 0.
