As it will be at least a month before my mod's released, I've decided to release some of the leaderheads for your use :) . It is on the understanding, of course, that you'll download the mod as well when it's finished ;) as there will be much more in there - and a couple of these leaderheads have already changed (Kashta and Candace) - so this pack contains versions that won't be available in the mod.

The principal reason for doing this was so that pinktilapia could use them in the forthcoming "Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" mod. Also, Rod has been waiting for Pericles for absolutely ages.

The thought of "I need a penguin leaderhead"-type posts put me off ;) . The leaderheads take a lot of work and time (as do units admittedly), so I wouldn't want to do leaderheads I would never use myself.

So which ones are going to be era specific? :p ;)

Cleopatra will be - I've already got the Medieval and Industrial versions done, awaiting rendering. I think I'll do a re-vamped Boudicca era-specific and Candace probably.

There was a point where I wanted an Era Specific Zenobia, but the GEAM is way dead now. But wow. I love all these. Really makies me with I was making a Historical Mod, and not a Sci-Fi Mod.

In the era-specific version, he doesn't have a helmet and there's a different background. He also has a beard rather than stubble, as per this version. You have pcxs available for each version (as they're both the ancient era).

I've even done you a HE_all file that will fit with the era-specific Hector, but using the ancient version of Hector in this thread. It is available below :) .

Nice looking Cleo. I spoke to her once, she tried telling me something bad was going to happen to me in the distant or not so distant future, then charged me 10 bucks for the call. In the modern age she should definately have two phones, and some incense burning in the backround.
About your comments in the cleo preview thread, I like the middle one for the middle ages. But, you think you could Islam her up a bit since Egypt became Muslimin the first mellenium AD?

I've uploaded a lite version of this pack, available in the first post of this thread. A mere 2.19MB in size, it contains all 10 leaderheads, but with static images instead of animated flcs.

This would be suitable for people who don't want a large download or for people doing a mod and trying to cram as much as possible into 100MB. Alternatively, it could be that you prefer static images to animated ones.

When my mod is released, it will contain static images only. However, there will be a link to the leaderheads so that they can be downloaded and added if you wish. It also saves the same artwork being on Thunderfall's server twice. Hopefully those doing a mod using a lot of these leaderheads will do the same thing - place the static images in the mod and point to this thread for the flcs download. Saves time uploading/downloading and space on the server :) .

I'm sure I will do either Agis or Pericles era-specific one day...but for now, I've too much on with other projects I'm afraid :sad: .

This is probably the wrong forum/thread to ask this in :mischief: , but I need to know. R8XFT, exactly how do you use your leaderheads :confused: ? By this I mean that when I download your stuff all I get is a single ACE file, and I have no idea how to add this to my game :sad: . I have Conquest BTW. Thanx in advance, as I am probably just missing something obvious. ;)

The ace file is like a zipped file. You can unzip it or extract it with WinRAR, and whatever ace files are made with, but I'm not sure about WinZip. WinRAR can be found with a free trila version or something. Google it.

Oh, while I'm here I think I'll be replacing one of the leaderheads you did that is in my mod with one of the ones you did here. I like her pony tail. ;)

@R8XFT: My Road Runner is intermitent or something and Time Warner can't fix it so I keep losing my connection halfway through download. I was wondering if there was a way you could e-mail me the Candace LH? If so just pm me and I'll give you my e-mail. Seems as if I only get 24mb of the download before interuption.

i think cleo needs a little more definition between hair strands.. kinda looks like a lump on her bald head?

I just started playing civ3 again and even though I know the leaderheads don't change the gameplay, they have made the game seem "new" and fun to me again. Please make the Cleopatra leaderhead era-specific; I can't wait to replace the standard (ugly) one in the game!

@Slozenger - it's not possible to alter the hair using the prop I used. I actually wouldn't want to though...I like it the way it is.
