I just bought the game and got home and read I need 256 ram. Will it run with 128 ram? Is there a way to lightly install it - that is, not a full install?

I haven't opened the box yet because if I have to have 256 ram to play, I will have to return it unopened.

Please advise.

Hmm, I don't if it's going to run, but if it does at all, it would not be very quality gameplay, since you are below the minimum requirements.
If you still want to play the game, and if you want to be sure it is fine, get some extra RAM.

First, what OS are you using? XP? Win 2000, Win 98

Most of those OS (operating systems) may run with 128 meg, but none of them will run well with that.

Unless you are using a very old system and the cost of upgrading the ram would not be a good investment compared to getting a newer system, get more memory. You will love how the system improves. 256 is good, 512 is quite nice, 1024 overkill for an older system.

Also, if the memory is a problem, are you short on any of the other system requirements? Please double check. Especially that pesky "T & L hardware support".

If you are worried about installing the extra ram, most stores that sell the memory will install it for a nominal fee.
