Hi ive just bought play the world and i got to the players lounge theres a chat screen and a list of 2 games but the game had to be version 1.27 but my civ3 game is version 1.29 do the games have to be same version. also ive had a pop up when trying to acces other parts of this site saying internet explorer cant open the page i was trying to access info centre and finaly where can i download the latest patches btw i love the explorer function inptw

my narrative was somewhat erratic so here goes again . i tried to join ptw the world game for the first time today. i got to the gamespy players lounge and tried to join a game which wasnt pass word protected and couldent. in the chat area peopl e were asking for some one to set up a game(asking for classic game) which no one answered.
i tried to enter a game straight from the ingame multiplayer menu(as oppossed to signing in gamespy)and their the people were asking for civ3 1.27 a look at my version revealed 1.29 and my ptw 1.14 the upshotr was i did not join a game. my questions follow is there a guide for multiplaying ? i tried to acces parts of civ fanatics website
to research this , whereupon i received IE error message. thanks for taking the time to answer
