As the title says, it would be quite useful in scenarios to have that feature.

Now ships must be empty except for carriers that can carry air units. But no land troops can be yet loaded onto a transport and ready to disembark/do amphibious assault.

I wonder if it would be possible for a scenario editor to have commands to issue right to specific units - i.e., goto tile 23,67, unload all embarked units, return to city #7, etc. I would think some simple scripting like this would be allowed, for unmodded units. You could build that right into the game, and issue the command by right clicking the unit in the editor.

Cannot be added in a transport in the editor :)
They can attack from a transport ingame though.

I wonder if he means that only certain units can enter transports outside of cities?

You wonder correct, grasshopper :)

It would be a nice feature for scenarios, since invasions over sea isn't something the AI is particularily good at ;)
Also, adding units in an army, since again, the AI isn't really good at that either.

It always boils down to such things, the AI don't understand, the AI don't use well....

Whenever I'm modding, I gotta keep thinking 'Will the AI screw itself with this?'
