In the Civilization Games I have always like the techs. I would really like for you not be forced to research some things like when you only one tech to chose from. That would be cool to see what would happen if I did'nt ever discover flight. Then that would lead to some diffrent techs never before seen. EXAMPLE:Ships never discovered would lead to some diffrent sea transport. Imagine a world without cars. Also like to be able to make and name your own country. And if you sent out your own guys to colinize and continent and they would rebel against you If you treated them unfairly (Like us,well some of us,the Americans). The last 2 things I would want is to walk around your citys and enter your own face with a computer camera into a 3D head like Civ3.

i absolutley agree 110% with this, either one should be able to exchange his face for the one that is already there...or like in tiger woods golf, be able to create a face for the king portrait.

I am opposed to this because it is a cosmetic and costly addition to civ. It would not add anything in my opinion, to the game.
I am for the rest of the ideas because it would allow for adaptation. Right now techs are two linear. A civ like polynesia, which has no interest in land transportation but is force to research them in Civ and a civ like the Mongols, which is far from the ocean is forced to research sea techs.

I appreciated the humor in your post brinko. Some of the posters here just forget to look for the subtle humor.(I probably spelled humor wrong)

thanks sir schwick,, its funny u say subtle, because i have viewed that word many times in the last 4 years and never knew what it meant till 2 weeks ago. i would always read it as "Sub toll" "subtoll" i felt kinda stupid knowing it was pronouced "suttle" . i dont know why i read "subtoll" but now all those suntzu and buddah books are starting to make sence.

if I'm making a sarcastic comment about something being overt I usually pronounce subtle as 'subtoll' to make sure the point is clear(not very subtle, eh?).

no i'm being serious. it is ironic considering that mispronouncing subtle purposely to make a joke requires someone to have a subtle sense of humor. the confusion practically writes itself.
This reminds me of the first time I read this gem
