View Full Version : Tunisian Musketeer
CivArmy s. 1994 Feb 09, 2005, 07:17 PM Tunisian Musketeer
I did this unit to be the UU of my Kanem-Bornu civilization, the thread of discussion about this one is in the main creation forum.
Download: http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads9/TunisianMusketeer1.zip
Civilopedia entry: This unit was used to fight against other nations that were under Kanuri-Bornu control. This domination turned possible happen the slavery commerce between Europe and this African Empire.

Plotinus Feb 09, 2005, 07:23 PM First post, for a change... a good unit and a much-needed one. I believe that to date we have a total of two African firearms units (the Zulu Musket Man and Zulu Cavalry, both by Dom Pedro) so this helps to swell the ranks considerably. Let's see more African units!

CivArmy s. 1994 Apr 30, 2005, 10:29 PM I did the new version of this unit! :) The news r in the post number 01
rabidpoodle221 May 01, 2005, 03:37 AM I'm really, really new here so i'll be brief.
What is a .INI file????
How do you get folders in Conquests/Scenarios to function as scenarios??
That is all
I know this is totally random, but i'm really new :) :) :) :)
zulu9812 May 01, 2005, 05:20 AM A .ini file is a text file that tells Civ3 where to find the sound and animation files.
rabidpoodle221 May 01, 2005, 02:25 PM Sorry to bug you again, Zulu, but what about my second question??
Goldflash May 01, 2005, 02:47 PM This has the same problem in the death aniamtion as the Boxer Rifleman... A Shame, because its MUCH nicer than the older one. Also.. I think you need a better Musket prop.
Plotinus May 01, 2005, 02:50 PM It's not quite clear what you mean. Do you mean, how do you get a scenario to look in a Conquests folder to get graphics etc? Open up the Scenario Properties page in the Editor and add the name of the folder to the box where it asks for them. The best way to do this is to look at the conquest in question in the Editor and do this, copy the name of its folder, and then go back to your scenario and paste the folder. You can add as many as you like as long you separate them with semi-colons.
zulu9812 May 01, 2005, 03:52 PM Do you have Conquests?
CivArmy s. 1994 May 01, 2005, 03:54 PM I agree, the "death animations" r the animations that I must get better. Well, these "death animations" that people have seen in my new untis r old animations, I'm just exporting the artworks again, I haven't done alterations in these old units.
In few hours I'm going to start a new unit named Dragćo Lanceiro (Dragoon Pikeman in Portuguese), I expect get improve in the "death animation" in his new unit ;)
Sword_Of_Geddon May 01, 2005, 04:52 PM Too bad its not a Final Fantasy Dragoon, because HT was looking for someone to make one of those. Depending on how it looks, HT may be able to use it for that as well though.

It is this dragoon, its Pikeman version I think it is the first military unit of Brazil (XIX century, when Dom Joćo VI of Portugal has moved to Brazil running away of Napoleon, rised the Brazil level to Vice Kingdom and create a army in the colony).
