Oh, darn! How do you post the screenies so they're visable and in certain places?

Generally a person cannot insert them into specific places in the post with the upload function. I'd suggest using a image hosting web site, like http://www.imageshack.us/ . They allow you to upload an image for free, then it will provide you a link to the image that you can put in your story. To add this to your story, put the tags [ img ](insert link here)[/ img ] into your story (however, you have to remove the spaces between the brackets and the img part) where you want them, and they will appear in that place.

If you want them visible, you should either follow the method posted above or simply attach only one image to a post at a time.

Palace of Ur, Map room

King Gilgamesh the immortal, sole ruler of Sumeria for over 700 years, shook slightly with worry as his advisors filed in to the large, stone room. The advisors, who like Gilgamesh were blessed with eternal youth, stared nervously at one another, knowing well that it was a rare occasion that a full cabinet meeting would be callled. Gilgamesh stood quietly, mulling over which words to choose. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he spoke.
"Ladies and gentlemen. I will not waste time with trying to mitigate the severity of the current situation. As of this morning, our country is at war. As you all know, for several months now the growth of our land has annoyed the Hurrian hordes to our south. But yesterday, I'm afraid, things took a turn for the worst. A Hurrian attack group slaughtered several hunters in the forest. They left no formal declaration of war, but my scout report the three whole tribes, the entire Hurrian nation, are heading towards us. So, what are our options military advisor Baruchus?
" Well, sire, we currently have three Ekindu Warrior brigades. Brigade A is more than a week Northwest, completing its mapping expidition of Lake Ur. Group B is somewhat more distant, near the western coast, awaiting the arrival of the homesteading expidition. Group C is currently protecting Ur. Our homesteading expidition, meanwhile, is in the Gateway Lakes region, about halfway to their destination. So you see sire, It's my opinion that we send word to the expidition to loop around and distract the Hurrians while we shore up our defenses here. It might buy us enough time to..."
"Absolutely not," Shouted the domestic advisor, Aista " I'm sorry your highness, but that plan would involve the slaughter of almost a third of our people. If anything, we should stay here and try to negotiate with the barbarians,"(Foreign advisor Curnotal gave an approving nod) "Besides, surely the wealth of Ur is not as valuable as the people who reside within her"
By now the military advisor had turned beet red and stood up. "What is wrong with this country? A woman trying to advise on military matters. Fa! Why don't you run along back to you home and do some cooking or something. Why, if you were my wife I'd..." The man was cut short by a swift kick to his head from Aista. Though not quite knocked out, Baruchus stumbled back to his seat and collapsed onto the chair.
Trying desperately to save what little calm was left, the science advisor piped up "Prehaps his royal higness has a better idea?
"Yes. Yes I do, I've made my choice. I think the barbarians will strike here. I want all citizens pulled back to the city. We will make our stand here. In utter silence, Gilgamesh walked out of the room, wondering if this would be the last he ever saw of it.

Ur, near the top of the southern wall

Gilgamesh stared out at the throngs of people racing desperately towards the gates. These were the last of the refugees that had been flooding in to Ur for almost two days, trying to escape the violent attacks that were scarring the beautiful countryside. He couldn't help but think of all the homes that were now rubble, all the burning crops... and yet, his people were lucky. Very few had been killed since the beginning of the war. He hoped it would stay that way. A distubance below broke his train of thought.
Just as the final stragglers entered the city, and the bronze gates swung shut, a shout rang out from the forest. Suddenly, lines of white tunics and glimmering axes appeared. Gilgamesh knew the battle drew near. Before leaving for the top of the wall to be with his defenders and generals he addressed his council: "Alright, here's the plan. I want all of you, except Baruchus, to go with the rest of the citizens to the fortress. You will find a group of defenders there. If the walls fall, try to protect yourselves at any cost. If you survive, try to reach the settlers as swiftly as possible. If I'm captured, you have my permission to act as a ruling body until my return. Oh, and Aista?
"Yes my leige"
"If we survive this, I would like very much for your hand in marriage."
She flashed the brilliant smile she had had no use for as of late "Certainly, Gilgamesh, I will. And I'm confident you will, in fact survive." And with just the slightest twinge in her heart, she quickly descended the stairs, Praying that the city she so sorely loved would still be standing come the next sunrise.
