View Full Version : Number of Civ Opponents to Play With Chieftess Feb 25, 2005, 05:03 PM 1-12, abstain, random, none. (remember, large map). Provolution Feb 25, 2005, 05:05 PM Please transfer this to poll section Moderator DaveShack Feb 25, 2005, 05:19 PM None is not an option. Provolution Feb 25, 2005, 05:26 PM Well, we could win on walkover :) Chieftess Feb 25, 2005, 06:03 PM I thought I was missing a poll... :mischief: Civanator Feb 25, 2005, 06:10 PM I like big games with lots of civs... 11 or 12 cause my cpu can handle it. But we might want to think about those less fortunate to have nice computers. Provolution Feb 25, 2005, 11:04 PM LOL @ Nobody, None Donovan Zoi Feb 26, 2005, 01:32 AM Can't we mod the game to have more than 12 civs total? Although that may be a nightmare in the tech department, it gives us more trade options too. Oh well, 11 it is. EDIT: Way to go, Civanator! It seems you were the only other person to read the poll correctly, as it asks how many opponents should be in the game. Looks like we will have to mod the game after all. Nobody Feb 26, 2005, 02:12 AM LOL @ Nobody, None It will still take us 3 months to play the demogame Sarevok Feb 26, 2005, 02:14 AM 12, it means more fun for us militarists ;) thescaryworker Feb 26, 2005, 07:32 AM 11, <you wonder why people haven't gotten the fact that you can only have 11 opponents on Large> Ginger_Ale Feb 28, 2005, 06:28 AM Ooops  thescaryworker is right - I thought of 12 civs total on a large map, so I voted for that. Please change my vote (and probably other's too, since they meant the same thing) to 11. RegentMan Feb 28, 2005, 09:00 AM Yup, I meant the maximum amount too. Twelve civs total. YNCS Feb 28, 2005, 05:10 PM Change my vote to 11 also. Thanks. Provolution Feb 28, 2005, 05:16 PM Well, we all meant 12 civs in total , big deal, are we going to have anal people jumping up and down again. Poll had a little flaw, but we got the point, max civs. Chieftess Feb 28, 2005, 05:20 PM Well, think of it this way - total number of civs on the map. :) (I've stared at the # of civs in the world map settings in the editor for too long...) Donovan Zoi Feb 28, 2005, 05:24 PM No one's jumping up and down, Provo; just showing that we know how to read and interpret instructions and you don't. :D It's oversights like this that make me wonder if this game is worth all the trouble, because there will be future polls that will be more confusing than this one should have been. A non-issue for sure, though. But 16 people??!  thescaryworker Feb 28, 2005, 05:33 PM How about all 12 and 11 votes count toward the same thing: maximum ai opponents. (thats what we all wanted, right?) EDIT: err... you can't exactly have a random number of civs, can you? Stuck_as_a_Mac Feb 28, 2005, 05:37 PM I second that. A lot of us can be stupid when reading polls... myself included. Lets just assume that teh 12/11 majority means max # opponents on large |
