The first post has been updated to reflect the most recent turn played, 3200 B.C. Of important note is the newly-posted discussion thread on our newfound neighbor, the Indians (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=113828).

Also, please note that I'm now looking for a deputy -

The Deputy Director of Commerce is, well, my deputy. The position entails simply helping out around the office during the regular course of the game. Of course, please note that you may not hold this positon if you are already an elected member or deputy of the Strategic, Tactical, or Judicial layers of government.

Can I draw to the consuls attention that at the present time a citizen of Camelot is working an unimproved BG, whilst an irrigated wine is not worked? Swapping the citizen to this tile will increase treasury input by 2gpt. Note that although it is irrigated, this tile has not been roaded which is a waste of worker turns as well as being detrimental to the long term commercial viability of our nation. Please use your influence to remedy this.

Hi mad-bax, this is not Octavian's job. He controls the sliders among other things. I control the laborers and build queues, as governor. You can post any comments relating to those in this discussion thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=113821) or in my term thread. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=113141)

I am also leaning towards the 2 wines and BG that will be mined in 2 turns.

The trade for Masonry was not possible, but i was able to use WC to good use.

We have met Persia, and now Masonry is affordable.

That's no problem, DS. The overall goal of the trade was achieved.

The first post of this thread has been updated to reflect new information from the last turnchat. As always, please join in the most recent Commerce Discussion (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=114453). At issue: a possible purchase of Masonry!

Our next trade opportunity is Alphabet + some gold to Japan for The Wheel. I closed the game without checking exactly how much gold, or whether it can be used for other purposes beyond that.

It seems we can acquire Iron Working on a straight tech for tech deal. Should the people support such a trade, I would see a request for another 0-turn play session to make the trade before doing further planning as a very good idea. ;)

I support the trade, we need to know where it is. Also retrade it across the world where we can, also for gold. Trade techs for gold, even GPT treaties may cut it.

I support the trade to aquire Iron Working post haste.

Sorry for not responding earlier - the cable for our internet/TV was accidentially cut by a lawnmower yesterday morning.

I'm all for the iron working trade in a zero-turn session, especially for the retrade possibilities.

Also, first post updated. :D

I suggest you put up a discussion on whether or not to use a scientist to get Philosophy, or to put them in the fields to grow quicker. Or is that my job as I am governor? (Anyone can answer).

President DaveShack has asked that question already in this discussion (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=115378). My personal preference is to not use the scientist - we need growth!
