Civilopedia entry: Taino Pirogs is the boat name used by Arawak, mainly by the Taino "state". Some of them are really big and were used to 70 or 80 natives per each voyage. It is very similar to the canoes of other Native Americans Roots, like Tupi.

They were produced in England and the first ones were bring to Brazil in the last years of Colonial Time. Some time ago the Independence have been proclaimed, some regions in Brazil stroke on against the new government attacking its forces, supported by Portugal, mainly in North and Northeast zones. The Canhoneiras were used to bombard these regions and to transport troops quickly, they were essential in the Independence process.

The Tucano's most recent versions are considered the best turboprop-driven airplanes ever build, being low-cost and having a bigger operational radius than standard prop planes. Some countries operate the Brazilian Tucanos, like Argentina, Egypt, France, Iraq, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela, while others build the Tucanos under license, such as Britain, Kuwait and Kenya.

The project was ambitious and called the eyes of foreign nations.

Paraguay has a biggest (but not strong) army, larger then the Allied ones together and used to fighting using the Artillería Paraguaya.

It is a light, small, low-cost, easy-maintenance and all-terrain fighting vehicle. Some countries, like Iraq, produced the Cascavel under license in the 198ies. In the First Gulf War, it was one of the main concerns of the American forces. Nowadays, these vehicles have been replaced for more modern ones.

Tha Brazilian and other Latin units used a uniform too close of the Europeans ones, actily, the models were brought or copied of the French, German/Prussian and Portuguese uniforms. The great military leaders of the continent went to Europe to be trained, San Martín and Bolivar r examples and many European leaders went to Latin America to traine the local troops. Sum all these facts and we have the units of Latin America too close of the European ones The people of "Revolução Mineira" (Inconfidentes) used a uniform too close of the Prussian and French ones, for this reason we can use the Prussian units in a scenario of this revolution and use many Latin Americans units like European ones :goodjob:

Uhm, spears and lances were not regular armament anymore (to say the least) at those mentioned times. Of course I know that one WWI trench soldier or another wore chainmail for melee action, or was wielding a three foot club with 9 inch iron nails stuck through them- though, that doesn't change the fact that it is not the weapon of choice High Command was thinking about, but more of a weapong of desesperation once gunpowder is out.

Well, WW2 wouldn't of had happened if WW1 didn't. It would be a much different world today if neither war had occured. Perhaps they would have occured later? All I know is that weapons technology and tactics wouldn't be as advanced today..

@Civ Army s1994 - I like the gallops you've animated for the mounted units, though in the death anims, they just seem to fall to one side. I'm not sure quite how I plan to animate horse deaths however - have you tried anything else?
I really like the Ethiopian Archer, which is a definate "must have" for Anno Domini. In fact, I've downloaded a few units from this thread that I can use :) .

These three horses were my first mounted units that I did mounths ago (and re-exported again these days), I think my death animations for the fowards moutned untis r better. These units r not here yet, cos they were not exported yet, process that I'll re-take this week. But if u want check how these animations r, u could move to my home page (link in the sign) and see the previews there, all the images r available in the units session. Then u can have ideas how to do the death animation for your units ;)

BTW, interesting these discussion about WW1.

I am just re-exporting the artworks again, I just did little changes, but I'll add the "cloth" for the horses in the future units that I'll build. I have more mounted units to be re-exported, I think some of them have the vestment for horses, not sure :)

You say..."slaves". Are they of the Janissaries variety(that have lots of Greeks and other Balkan people, like Serbs)? Since Jannisary is less a unit and more a designation for troops(though there were exlusive combat units of them), so there were obviously Jannisary horsmen around.

Also, if you have any links of historical info, I'd like that, it's my first time I read about them.
