I recently found a Zelda fan game that I thought was pretty good. I learned that it was made using a program called "RPG Maker 2000". I looked all over the internet for it, and I found a version of RPG Maker XP. It seems really cool, but the help and tutorial are in Taiwanese. Is anyone here familiar with the program? If so, can you please tell me how to use it? I want to make a really cool, RPG, and my brother is writing the music. Someone please help.

There should be a version that has been translated into English somewhere.

hmmm.... I'll need some time. It took me forever to find it on google. Just look it up on google and you are bound to find some results. Just go thru a few pages

Well not the program itself, but what about the Zelda game?

Oh, it's TLOZ: The 5 sages by Navid. First link. It's pretty good for a fan made game:

Google it. That's how I found it. Here is the forum for it: http://p067.ezboard.com/btherm2kworld

You can also google Don Miguel, the person who is translated it.

I should point out that technically the program itself is illegal, as the copyright is owned by the company that makes it in japan. It would be easier to find, but said company asked sites that had the translated version for download to remove it ages ago. Most of them did. I remember reading this somewhere when I was playing around with rpgm2k a couple of years ago.

However, if you want to make games with a program that is free, try Game Maker. (http://www.cs.uu.nl/people/markov/gmaker/) :)

There is also the RPG toolkit (http://www.toolkitzone.com/).

I made a few mini RPG's on it, then started a big one (must have spent about 40 hours making about 45mins-1hour of gameplay) but then my PC broke and i lost it all . I also used to know a good site for it with loads of resources, lost the adress now though. Chuchki Huski knows it i think...
