Idea
I want to start a succession game with a difference. It might have been done before but I aint seen it :)
"A committee is a thing which takes a week to do what one good man can do in an hour." Elbert Hubbard
"A camel is a horse designed by committee." Sir Alec Issigonis

Can we beat the odds and Sid with a committee.
Play
The idea is that anybody can put in suggestions and if their is dissagreement a vote will be taken then the first 20 turns will be played to fullfill the aims of the consensus reached. Some latitude will be given to players as long as they follow the stratergy decided on. The vote will be taken by the
After that a vote and new player every 10 turns.
The Committee (Edited)
Anyone can offer suggestions, the voting committee will be the 3 players following the turn player. So I will have to follow the stratergies that the next three members vote for. The stratergies should be general ones like go for libraries, rather than build a library in city A.
Rules
1 Anyone who does not follow the committee's directives will be sacked from the committee and beheaded.
2 You must post your turns in this thread.
Players
Players will be in the order they sign up. However many express an interest, so I might never get another turn but I can weild my vote :D
Sid with all victory conditions on. Scientific leaders on. Normal map, roving barbs, map is random.

Are you crazy enough to try it? :suicide:
Will this be the longest game ever or are committees just a set of maligned individuals?

This sounds what demo games do (but I never bothered to look at them). You may have entered wrong forum.

I personally don't like those kinds of games. They take years to finish, if they ever do.

I'd never looked at them before, but I have now. That's not what I had in mind but I can see problems with my idea so I will change the rules a bit. I wanted a succession game where the player is answerable to someone.
Edit: Oh yes and also some ideas for good ways to beat Sid :)
