4000 - Beijing Founded
3750 - Warrior Produced, Set to Explore North
Found Dyes North of Beijing
3350 - Bronze Working Disovered!! research goal set to literature
3150 - Beijing Builds Settler
2950 - Shanghai Founded NE of Capitol
2950 - Game Saved
Happy Civving!!! Gan Bei!!!
dojoboy Mar 21, 2005, 03:17 PM Pre-turn: Changed production in Beijing and Shanghai to warriors for scout manuevers. Since we were already researching The Wheel, we'll research Pottery afterward, for granaries = increased settler production.
2900bc -
2850bc - COntact Japanese and trade masonry for The Wheel and Pottery and buy ceremonial burial for 40g. Japan has horses, as do we. Change produciton in Beijing to granary.
2800bc -
2750bc -
2710bc - Shanghai b warrior, set to granary.
2670bc - Warrior pillages Barb camp.
2630bc -
2590bc -
2550bc - Warrior pillage Barb camp.
2510bc - Goodyhut produces Barbs. IBT-> Warrior killed by Barbs.
2470bc - Mysticism -> Horseback Riding (horsemen for possible offensive).
2430bc -
2390bc -
2350bc - Settler from Beijing moving westward; workers claering tile for food produciton near Shanghai.
2310bc - IBT-> Barbarian horseman kills settler. :(
2270bc -
2230bc -
2190bc - Warrior lost during attack on Barb camp.
2150bc - Horseback Riding -> Iron Working; Japan will not sell Iron Working to us, so I'm thinking we need to discover where some iron deposits are for expansion, do not want Japan beating us to it.
2110bc - Beijing b. settler, set to Temple (recommend settlers next).
Outlook: It appears we're on a landmass alone with Japan. I definitely recommend we secure this landmass for ourselves. If we exterminate Japan quickly through less than honest means, we may be able to destroy them before they inform the world of our treachery. We are 8 turns from Iron Working. Japan has Iron Working and Alphabet. I recommend a 3 tile distance between settlement sites to reduce corruption and to allow reinforcements to arrive from the next township in one turn if needed.

Sounds good. We may even want to get a galley out ASAP to map the coastline, and perhaps meet some civs.

Do you mean why isn't the text wrapped around the images I uploaded? If so, it's not possible through the upload feature. Or, are yo talkig about somewhere else?
BuddhaBubba Mar 22, 2005, 09:55 AM yeah, i think I figured it out, the image was greater than 800 pixels in width so the browser couldn't keep it "within the viewing window" as for why the typing was so slow in safari, i'm guessing safari doesn't like vBulletin? ::shrug::
BuddhaBubba Mar 25, 2005, 08:36 PM hey, don't want to be a bugger, but have you finished your 20 turns? I really want to crush the japanese in the war! (unless you were already victorious, of course)
:)

Yea, it's posted a couple posts up as a d/l, below the image. I never emailed it to you, figuring you'd get notified once I posted here. Unless, you've finished your second turn and emailed it to me. If so, I don't remember the email. I did get the one for change of email address. Right ow, I'm away from my eMac, at my Mum's house for Easter. I'll be back home tomorrow.
BuddhaBubba Mar 26, 2005, 02:08 PM oh yeah, can you e-mail me the saved games to scottdaniel25@gmail.com
i can get them faster that way i think
oh course, if you could include a linke to what you did in your turns that would be great!

yay!
BuddhaBubba Apr 01, 2005, 06:54 AM hey, guess what, they release Civilization Four!!! and it's for Mac too! I can't believe it!
anyway, i'm itching for some jap-smashing; although, playing the sen-go-ku campaign in conquests is keeping me busy as well as beating Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2...yeah, oorah!
BuddhaBubba Apr 05, 2005, 09:03 PM hey, you there? :)
dojoboy Apr 05, 2005, 09:21 PM hey, you there? :)
Yea, sorry. I'll get it to you tomorrow. I've been swamped some w/ athletics and grading tests. Our grading period ends this Friday. Stand by.
dojoboy Apr 09, 2005, 08:41 PM Preturn: Reviewed situation. Left research queued for Literature. Noticed we declared war w/ out an army. ;) I'll do my best. :)
Turn -> report
1 -> Tsingtao settled.
2 -> Discovered Writing, set for Literature.
3-5 -> maintenance
6 -> Capture 2 workers after killing Jap settler's escort
7 -> We lose a worker to a Barbarian horseman
8-12 -> maintenance
13 -> Discovered Literature, set to Map Making
14 -> maintenance
15 -> Capture 2 more Jap workers when swordsman killed Jap settler's escort; Captured Tokyo; Signed peace treaty w/ Japanese, receiving Yokohama & 80 gold.
16 ->Shanghai pillaged several times by Barbarian uprising nearby, couldn't hold out
17-19 -> maintenance
20 -> Trade Literature, wm, & 75 gold to Japanese for Map Making & Philosophy; set research for Mathematics (figure Japan is going for Polytheism - could make trade)
Outlook: We need a temple in Tokyo to prevent culture flip. I've fortified a coupl units to our south on tiles that would make good city placements. We lost a settler build to the Barbarian uprising, but now have capital building settlers. Recommend building 10 offensive units to take out Japan in a second war. Also, constructing roads toward the enemy would expediate the offensive. In the meantime, let's trade with techs with Japan as often as we can.
BuddhaBubba Apr 16, 2005, 02:43 PM so, yeah, i'm worried about the japs. i'm not as good as making war as I am at building up.
so I plan on building temples, spearmen, settler, works, and horsemen (for evenutal riders conversion) ... sound good, I hope so!
may the people republic of China, BuddhBubba, and Dojoboy be blessed by the Higher Spirits of Heaven Forever and and Ever.
:king:
