There are many marvelous new units designed by participants of the forums. A new unit folder usually consists of flc-files and an ini-file…
I desire to try these units but I can’t! I don’t know how to make the files work!
Do you advise how to make it?
I guess it should be done in such way:

1. Load the new folder in the Unit folder of a target scenario. For example, Age of Discovery/Art/Units

2. Copy unit_32.pcx from Civilization3Conquests/Conquests/Art/Units in the Unit folder of the target scenario.

3. Add the pcx-image of the new unit in unit_32.pcx

4. Add the new unit into your scenario by the CivEditor

5. Edit Civilopedia.txt and PediaIcons.txt of the scenario

Is it right way? Can anybody make a correction or amendment?
My main question is how to get pcx-file if I have only flc-files???

This was on the front page of the tutorials sub-forum.

Not all unit-makers include .pcx files with their animations. You basically just have to deal with it, or take a screenshot and make your own from it. I usually just use best-fits from other unit-makers, or the default game.

It is not easy for me yet to find where to come and what to read. So thank you for the link.
As to screenshots it seems to be a good idea…
