My Civilization was at Peace for 3500 Years. No Wars in between, just Peace. Can anyone beat that?

I was at peace untill 1600 AD and then i got bored and declared war.

I dimly recall having a civ that was at peace for the entire game...

But the only one I could provide documentation for was one that was at peace up until I quit the game because I was bored... This was mainly because I was isolated on a small island, though, and wanted to see if I could get a cultural victory.

As Shaka, I think I lasted from 4000- 1800 AD. Everyone else was at war, so I figured, Jump on the bandwagon.

Correction, I was at peace from the beggining of the Game ??? BC to 3500 AD with the Indians, then they started taking things over culturally, so I destroyed them. Pretty boring Game really.

3500 AD? How did you do it? Or was it after the score?

Okay, i think i have the all-time record in this regard.

In the early stages of learning CIV III (i'd played around with other people a tiny bit in CIV II), i decided i'd try to create an isolationist, permanently Stone Age people. I played the Americans, jacked up my luxury bar to 100% (eventually i caved in and increased it to 10%) and eventually established about seven or eight cities. It was hilarious. By game's end in about 1990 AD, every other civilization was building the spaceship while i was futilely trying to discover Theory of Evolution. France won with the UN vote.

The amazing thing about this game, though, was that not one war EVER took place. No one fought anyone -- world peace for almost 5500 years! The only thing that might top this would be to play the game normally, actually building technology, winning the game, and avoiding war for six millenia.

Anybody have anything comparable to this?

That game bores me just thinking about it :o

if you play on cheiftess the only wars that happen are when you start them, so its pretty easy

I've been at peace for about 3500 years in one of my games (actually, it was my first Deity game) until launching a last-ditch attack... and succeeding...

Untrue. The first game I ever played on PTW was Chieftain difficulty, and I got declared on by an AI when I had almost no army in the middle of the AA, and it was sort of abrupt, like "The Vikings have declared war on us!"

I wish I could have just one game of civ without some arrogant nation deciding a war against me would be a good idea in about 3500 BC, meaning we both get dragged into a war so all-consuming that everyone else has rechead the industrial age and we're still slogging away in the early middle ages

My longest period of peace was my last game. I was at peace with all nations until 2032 AD and almost to a spaceship victory when the Zulu declared on me...

From 4000bc to 16-something, i played an OCC and won with 20k cultur

My first Deity win, I was at peace from the beginning to the 5 turns before end (I'm not sure when the game ended). The Persians declared on my because my failed attampt to sabotage their UN. Then I simply bribed everyone and easily won the vote.

The first time I played the Japan conquest, the entire game (about 300 turns before I built War Council) neither I nor any of the other civs declared a war. The only combat was with the Ainu barbarians.
