As a Chief Justice I am not allowed to post amendment proposals, isn't that a good platform ?

We have seen that already :D

Provolution

For that reason alone, you have my support!

Seriously, let's let Provolution join the long list of colorful Chief Justices. I think it will be a darn good time.

Let's vote for blackheart, he'll actually do the chief justice's role instead of fool around with it.

My promises if elected
1) All JR's will be ruled on within 48 hours
2) Impartiality will be given to all, there will be no bias
3) I will uphold the Constitution and CoL
4) Free cookies and milk for all :)

I voted for Provo, but can I still get the milk and cookies?
If not cookies, then milk would suffice. I just want a glass of milk.

I voted for blackheart because he's such a great guy.

There will be no milk unless I am sacrificed a thousand cows!

Provolution should get a chance to demonstrate the impartiality that he complains about not receiving.

Provolution
Mar 27, 2005, 12:23 AM
I will indeed show impartiality.

I will declaration:

I will invesigate Citizen Registry of all citizens elected or appointed.
I will follow deadlines to the letter, deadlines means deadlines, not lifelines.
I will cooperate on good terms with my fellow colleagues
I will seek to keep the wheels running in the Fanatannian political-economy, and any official absences will be handled by the letter of the law with the intent to fill all offices with hardworking, dedicated and present citizens
I will process new publicly backed amendment proposals in a fast, expedient and responsible manner, and not delay these for own political preferences by filibustering, slow motion action, slack or destructive interpretation of new proposals

I will not use the Court as a personal platform for making personal attacks in defining the Judiciary decision and not pass moral judgement on the legal parties.
I will not filibuster new proposals and add all arguments in a fair and speedy trial.
I will not give preferential treatment to indvidual personas in my public statements on legal issues
I will neither write legal statements in colloquial English, Mickey Mouse language nor
French, in fact, I will omit French wording as a true Fanatannian
I will neither utilize the legal system for legal action based coup d'etats nor a loyal support structure to the Executive, but serve the system as a whole

I do not have milk and cookies as my rival, but being more than 21, I can by the law offer Camelotian red wine and red herring, Provolutian mammoth beef,
Roosting Tree Horse Sausages, Donsignian free fashionable lioncloth loinclothes with iron and gold apparel and finally Bentleyian curry-spiced whale blubber for our grand feast opening by President Daveshack.

We also have some Dutch women in red stockings coming by for the evening amusement.

On second thought, I might have to change my support position. ;) Keeping the game going is a good idea, denying anyone participation over a technicality is anathema.

Provolution

Well, I will give a public warning show in a public poll that if I should give slack or not.
The system will have equal slack this time, so everyone gets the same treatment.
The warning shot will be a public poll asking neutrally for either a postponement of replacement or for a replacement at that time, if no deputy is available.

DaveShack
Mar 27, 2005, 05:59 PM
That's reasonable, I was worried you were going to try to declare someone absent 72 hours and 1 minute since their last post or something, or declare a nomination or appointment void because it came minutes before registering as a citizen. Also that idea of posting a poll if we should let things slide is going to be a full judiciary ruling and not a unilateral action, right? :D

Provolution
Mar 27, 2005, 11:50 PM
Indeed DS, so you are all to blame if you let it slide. If that is the stated preference.

That is, I will make the citizens partly responsible if they let an office stand vacant for the rest of the term, as the poll will show. It will be a public advisory poll, neutrally worded with 48 hours warning. I will decide on tie votes or if there is no votes, so the people have been heard.

10 more votes, to give me a resounding victory that will be told in songs ever after.

Seriously, I am going to make the nation go around like a clockwork, and I will expedite things fast and fair, and everyone get the same terms, conditions and deadlines, and no moral sentence will be passed in my rulings.

By that I mean that there is no partiality with the current judiciary.

Provolution
Mar 28, 2005, 04:02 PM
But you are not the current Judiciary ? So what is your point ?

Provolution
Mar 29, 2005, 05:06 AM
About the vacancy-slack poll. Any in the Judiciary can post it on behalf of the Judiciary after 72 hours and 1 minute. If the sorry individual pops up in time before the poll ends, he or she may turn the tables. The Court may then ask for a public statement from the vacant official, and possibly repoll (if the person shows up) a vote of confidence.
This advisory poll will effectively influence the Court decision if the office is vacant.

Of course all three justices will vote on the basis of the vacancy poll, thus making it a Judicial ruling. however, this Judiciary will not let it slide for 10 days and so like last term, but fill in productive citizens where there is inproductivity.

When did we have an unannounced absense of 10 days? I don't recall seeing anyone ask the T1 judiciary to start proceedings on declaring someone absent...
