Which Civilisations should we establish embassies with before any upcoming war?

The External Consulates position is that we should only establish an embassy with China for now, and decide which other embassies to set up once we have decided who we go to war with first, and when. I would therefore urge citizens to vote for China only.

What about if you just want to have embassies with just India and the Netherlands?

A better poll would be mutliple choice with the three options plus none, abstain, and other. Other would mean establishing embassies with another nation not ot the list. With other, you must of course state your choice. Embassies would be doen according those Civs that got more than 50%.

That sounds reasonable. For example, we could delay building an embassy in India or Netherlands until we are about to go to war with them for a more accurate expectation of their garrisons (obviously their capital in particular, although the rest could be approximated).

No I am not going to poll every conceivable variation which with 11 civs is a huge number. Nor am I specifying exactly when embassies should be set up. The poll is to specify which civs we set up embassies with before the first war. Voting for China only, means that once we have an agreed war plan and we know who we will fight first the other two civs will be polled again.

i say get an embassy with all. i find getting an embassy with a rival civ will make their attitude more polite. this could help prevent agressive demands from the Chinese in the near future. also an embassy with India and Dutch can help scout out their position before the upcoming war(s).

All of them, embassies will help in the long run and we can investigate their cities before we declare war.

BTW, this should have been a multiple choice poll instead, with an option for each 3 country and an option for all of them.
