Noldy! Your instructions are needed within the next 3-4 hours! Bentley should be switched to a barracks if it is to produce warriors. I have 3 workers that will help Bentley build a barracks by providing wood to the city. (chopping the forest).

I seem to have misplaced my Civ disk. Just in case I can't find it in time, could CT or Ginger Ale please post instructions for me?

I have glimpsed the future... yadayadayada... I hate doing that song anyway.

Pardon my Jekyll and Hyde nonsequitor.

I'd like mayorship of Oxford, which I believe is to be founded in this evenings TC.

May I gently ask for Mayorship of Provolutia ?

Your wishes... Granted! *genie nod* Stuck, you wiill be the Mayor of Oxford, and use your wacky fortune-telling to lead her to glory, and Provolution shall rule Provolutia with the iron hand of a media baron.

TimBentley, I don't see why not. You shall be the Mayor of Bentley!

CT, you can be Mayor of dinsignia if donsig doesn't want to. PM sent.

If donsignia is free, I'd like to be the mayor of that city.

Don't want to be mayor of a corrupt city? :)

I request Ela Springs when it comes around (it's my city name).

Honorable Gov'ner,
I had requested this in term 1, but I just thought I would repeat it again. I would like to be mayor of my sponsored city of Roosting Tree.

Thanks

Dear Governah,
Thank you for the Mayorship (or, as we in Oxford call it, the Dean job) of Oxford.

Gov'na,

I would like to suggest the following build queues. I'm interpreting the various threads on what's needed for war but there has been no specific guidance given. This is entirely just one citizen's input.

Camelot: Sword-Settler-Chariot-Worker
donsignia: Sword-Sword-Chariot
Roosting Tree: Barracks-Chariots
Bentley: Barracks-Warriors
Provolutia: Sword-Chariots
Oxford: warrior-worker

New cities: warrior-worker
Captured cities of size 3+: pop rush a temple

Moth's suggested queues are excellent, and I second his request. I believe that his reading of various threads concerning what's needed for the war is accurate.

I would like to make you aware before you hear from another source that the posted instruction for Bentley could not be followed. The instructions said to switch to a worker, but the barracks already had 32 shields and would have wasted 22 shields to switch. The only prudent course was to stick with a barracks. At present a warrior is building, which was part of the overall India campaign plan, but it is early enough that it can be changed to a worker if you're sure that's how best to implement the strategy.

Governor, I'd like to bring your attention to an issue in regards to Oxford.
It can be found here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2682301&postcount=3)

And please, feel free to RP in the Oxford thread.

That issue in Oxford was a simple matter of poor eyesight combined with near heart failure upon seeing how many shields Bentley had on the then-current barracks. As noted in the city thread, warrior axes can be converted to shovels for workers with a wave of the hand.

Your explanation was quite satisfactory, DS. Thanks for fixing that screw-up. Also, I am proud to report that CT has been granted the Mayorship of donsignia!

Governor,

I glanced at the save last night and I have a few MM ideas that, if you agree, we should implement before the next turn starts.

Roosting Tree: Currently we'll build a new citizen & barracks in two turns. We can get both in one turn. How? Before we start the next turn, move the worker on the horse to Provolutia's cow (we'll discuss Provolutia's MM in a minute. This will give us a new citizen in one turn, but we'll still be shy one tile of completing the barracks. However, as long as we keep the currently unworked mined hill near Dosignia open, Roosting Tree's new citizen will automatically be assigned to that spot; and we'll have enough shields to complete the barracks, too.

Provolutia's MM: Currently scheduled to build a sword and grow in 3 turns. We can still accomplish this. Before we start the next turn, move the citizen on the cow to a forest for one turn so Roosting Tree can grow. After Roosting Tree completes its citizen, move the Provolutian citizen working the forest back to the cow. We'll still grow a citizen and complete the sword in the original 3 turns.

Bentley: We're currently scheduled in grow in 7 turns, produce a vet warrior in 4. The next time Bentley grows it will become unhappy. Although growing is extremely important, I'd make war production a higher priority at the moment. Before the next turn, I'd move two workers so that one is on the iron, the other on a forest. We'll produce a warrior in 2 turns; unfortunately, our growth will stagnate.

Workers near Donsignia. They're currently mining a hill when we have an already-mined hill unused (although Roosting Tree will use it if we MM it before the turn starts), and a citizen working the unmined gold hill. I'd prefer to mine grassland rather than hills because the extra food will let us grow quicker, and a bigger city working mined grassland will produce as many shields as mining hills. However, if we do mine hills, we should mine gold hill next. New citizens will automatically be assigned to it (because of its gold bonus) and we're working it now anyway.

Thanks for your consideration.

Dear Governor Noldodan,

As the Director of Expansion, it seems to me the people would like for us to focus our building power on military units rather than settlers, until the war progresses. I don't know if you have decided about the settler to be built in Camelot, but I think it would be best if it is changed to a swordsman. That's all for now.

Governor,

I have started THIS THREAD (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=2693025#post2693025) which includes discussion relevant to the interests and duties of your office. My purpose is to stimulate discussion on when we should attack India, and prompt us to make a decision. I invite you to participate in this thread.

Thank you for your consideration.

Governor, Donsignia needs a temple to use all available tiles to reach its' maximum potential. It can build one in 6 turns if the unmined hill laborer moves to the mined hill.

Governor,

Could I please lean on you a bit to change your sword builds to horses please? We need their speed to get to the front line. Swords won't get there quick enough. Also the horses will upgrade to knights shortly at which time we will be fighting immortals and Riders. We have enough swords, lets get some speed please.

TimBentley

If the grassland laborer in Bentley is switched to the iron hill for one turn, the swordsman will be produced in 2 turns, instead of in 3 turns wasting 5 shields.

Because I will be leaving for the next few days, and will thus miss the instruction thread and chat, I hereby delegate all powers of the Office of the Province of Fanashire to the honorable CivGeneral, for prosecution of the war.

I would like to request at least one settler, preferably two or three, to settle the razed Indian lands. We need to grab the silks to aid in the luxury tax, plus the two other sites that the Indians or Dutch will grab if we don't.

I'd like to be the governor of Spichester (my named city)

A hairs breadth from being the shortest Mayoralship in DG history!

There is a lot of micromanagement required now. TimBentleys suggestion is one.
I also happen to think that Camelot and Provolutia should switch to settler now.

Spichesters scientist needs to go on the game tile.
The rax in New London is surplus to requirements. I'd change that to a library pre-build.
All the specialists in the resisting cities need changing to taxmen too.

I'm sure you were going to do all this stuff anyway governor, but I can't keep my mouth shut I'm afraid. :)

Afternoon, govnah.

Oxford is 3 turns away from completing the nations first temple. I thank you for giving it that honor.

Now I come to you to ask for more city improvements. Oxford has the bug. It needs to get it out of its system :). We could do a courthouse (in 20) to reduce corruption. Or a library (in 15) to increase both culture and science.

My overall goal as Dean of Oxford is to turn it into a cultural powerhouse. With more tile improvement and more internal improvement, it can become just that. And who knows? We could maybe plop a wonder or two in there (with the help of Sir Issac, of course ;) )
