In Conquest 10, the players' civilization was the aggressive mongols; militaristic and expansionist.

Dynamic proved that you don't need to tailor the victory condition to the traits when he romped to a clear gold medal, being the only player to get a Jason in excess of 11,000, and over 1000 points clear of second place as he picked-up a Cultural 100k victory.

The race for the silver medal was a bit closer, however MiniMe edged-out klarius for the silver, with a conquest victory in 660 AD.

klarius's victory was a domination victory, completed in 700 Ad. Good enough for the bronze medal, but not for the fastest domination. Edged-out is an accurate description - places 3 through 6 were separated by only 51 points!

In addition to gold and an award, I'd like to congartulate Dynamic for replacing SirPleb's fastest 100K in COTM4. This is the fastest 100K in all XOTM among those that were awarded. See here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=2614196&postcount=1)

Truly a golden victory :goodjob:

I was surprised to find that I actually did decent in the QSC for once. I thought my score was pathetic, but it looks like the bad terrain did in a lot of people.

Interesting and different game. :)

Darn you MiniMe!! Beat me to fastest Conquest by one turn!! There goes my fastest finish winning streak. :(

Had you only done something different so Kuningas could be writing the same thing to me. ;)

Great job and awesome score!! :goodjob:

Congrats to all players and thank you for congratulations!

I'm very interested by hendrikszoon game with fast Diplo victory :goodjob: and when he reached Domination limit. Based on last 2 games I can say he is very strong player and it adds new competition for the medals and awards.

Thanks!

I will look for the spoiler from hendrikszoon. I would really like to learn how to build UN in 900AD :goodjob:

I would really like to learn how to build UN in 900AD Me too!! Without any other spoiler entries, and a somewhat non-friendly research game, I thought my 1210 AD Diplo would hold up, but hendrickzoon beat me by 31 turns! (and Bremp by 13!)

Congratulations to all winners :goodjob: and players!

Congratulations to all players. Especially to MiniMe for a great Conquest and to Darkness for an excellent Domination, and congrats to klarius on capturing the bronze! :goodjob:

I don't know what to say to you Dynamic: your games lately have been amazing. Between your victories/score in space, diplomatic and 100k, you have totally blown away the theory that only domination and conquest victories can score high.

You make the game more fun: playing the game as well as you is the target I shoot for. :king:

Edit: Solenoozerec: Sorry you fell just out of the medals, especially with such a good game. :( I've been there, and it isn't any fun. I'm sure you will be the one to bump someone else out next game! :D

Oh boy!!! This win boosted me from page 5 on the global listings page to page 2 (using 100 entries)!

Congrats to all of the winners!! Wow Dynamic got a gold with 100k! whew, that's pretty good seeing tha tno culture was cheap. Great job.

I forgot to submit QSC :( oh well. I think that this is the game that I played entirely on an airplane and in a hotel room.

Harr, harr, I got fastest loss. At least it's only upward from here.

I got lowest scoring conquest...whoops. That was an ugly game for me, and, in fact, COTM11 is turning out ugly, too.

Congrats to everyone who played, and thanks to the staff!

By the way, there's a player double-listed on the QSC results page (the player's name is taxpayer's money).

Tubby Rower,

Watch out, I'm right behind you (literally ;) , check COTM10 results and global ranking).

Congratulations to all the winners, losers and all in between! We are all better off just by participating!

Many thanks to XOTM staff for making it!!!

Congratulations all. Especially Dynamic and bradleyfeanor - it was a very impressive month for culture :)

bradleyfeanor, your 20K culture approach was awesome - I think you've set the new standard for the way to approach 20K in Conquests!

 Thanks, Sir Pleb. Your comment makes me very happy. I'm still thinking about the strategy. When I look at many other games, I don't think it would have worked in them. I definitely got lucky. It is a risky strategy, and if the AIs had been a bit stronger or a bit weaker it might have led to me losing.

On the other hand, if the Celts had learned Monarchy just a couple of turns later, I could have had a great game with a much higher score (although not as high as Dynamic!). It was so close. Giving them Feudalism is still irritating me immensely. :twitch:
