I'm trying to just make a blank map (so I can have a random land mass every time I play, hopefully) with zero/minimal corruption? What else can I do besides increasing the OCN to 9999? I only have Civ 1.21 Mac, no fancy C3C cherades here. My goal in this corruptless map is that things like the British Empire can be recreated. In other words, be able to have useful cities/regions far away from the capital.

Thanks.

You can give every building the courthouse ability, create some more forbidden palace wonders and you can make every one commercial.I'm not sure when the corruption slider was added, it is the best way to reach zero corruption. If the latest mac version has it, you can found it on the difficulty level page.

I know I mentioned the OCN number in my post, but I was wondering, will changing that actually do anything productive?

Like will changing it to the max actually make my later cities more useful?

Yes, increasing OCN will reduce corruption. It also determines how many cities are required in order to build any Forbidden-Palace style structure, so if its set at 9999, don't be surprised when you can't build it. You can also alter corruption in a couple other ways; its one of the things I put in post #3 of my briefing.

Bah. Now I feel like a fool, because I distinctly remember reading that thread before, but don't recall that part of it. >.< Sorry.

Thanks for all your help.

Thats because it changes :)
I add questions from time to time whenever I see them pop up several times in a row.
