I recently (1 hour ago actually) bought Civ3 Complete since I lost my original CD.

Now my cdrom drive is not working properly so I created a iso of DISK1 and DISK2. The installation is now asking for DISK2. I have mounted the virtual cdrom (using deamon tools) and it says it cannot find disk 2. Is there a way to manually direct it to the correct path, or make my virtual drive primary or something?

BTW, this is all legal according to my understanding of the EULA. It says I can make back ups for personal use.

or even install it on this computer then transfer the files over to the other and uninstall it on this one. Hmmm....

The problem isn't 'can I make a backup copy', it's 'how do I do it without the copy protection screwing me up'.

From what I understand, the copy protection looks for virtual drives and doesn't allow them. So this could be why the installation can't find disc 2.

Well hopefully tech support will give me a nocd crack then so I can play the game.

If not I guess Ill have to shell out $30 to get a new cd drive.

A nocd crack won't help with the installation. Might as well get a new cd-rom drive. As you said, it's only $30. (and yes, I know that sometimes that can be a lot of money.)
