Since Roosevelt LH is being quite hard to make, I decided to start working a bit on this one as well. As always, suggestions are welcome. (Specially about his face shape)

BTW, he will have his trademark hat (or something close to that) soon.

He looks like my uncle...But so did Franco so good job..His head is a tiny bit too fat at the bottom..His nose, espeically nostral area could be alittle thinner too.

His hair needs more texture, but you know that I bet.

This one probly looks the most like the finished version in the first version.

Ditto, my mate gareth looks quite like franco.

Interesting historical note; When Franco was in the Spanish foreign legion in north africa he shot a man under his comand for making fun of his sqeaky voice... A real psychopath!

Finally a good Spanish LH! Even if he was a fascist dictator, but then again any ruler has good and bad sides... can't wait!

anyways nice work so far, did you finish FDR?

jorde
Apr 24, 2005, 11:44 PM
No, and I'm still quite far from finishing it. I'll still post some new preview in the next couple of days, but I'm still in a big trouble making his face

New preview. First "try" at two earlier eras, though there are still some changes to be made. I'll try giving him a look closer to that of Ferdinand the Catholic in the mid ages (perhaps even adding some kind of beret) and I'm aiming at a look similar to that of Amadeus I for the industrial ages.
Oh, and now he's wearing his cap on the modern age. Any suggestion for backgrounds/looks?

..I found these pics, and was just thinking, If you got the prop, the coat would bring some real uniqueness to it...I am not sure that last one is him, but it shows how he would look with the hat, and coat.

For the middle ages, I was actually thinking a Hernan Cortez, conquistador would look cool. But I can definatly see the beret working too.

For backgrounds, Modern I suggestion Burgos, throne room, or up on a balcony.

.

I completely agree with you on this look being quite unique, but the problem is that I lack of a really good prop similar to the coat he's wearing (and while searching for a free one, I found tons of similar props, but you have to pay for all of them :( )
So what I'll do is try to get as close as posible to that coat using the resources I already have: perhaps a Santa suit with some good textures would do the job, but I won't know til I try it.

If it turns out to be good, I'll post a new preview soon

I was hoping you would have a good prop...If not I am sure it will still be excellent, I would rather have no coat, then have a bad looking one any day. The santa suit is an interesting idea.

Well, this is the best I could do with the props I have. I'm still not completely satisfied by it, but I'll wait for your opinions first.

Hmm..It looks ok, alittle hard to tell without the background though...It looks alittle 2-d right now for some reason.

I dont know weather you can do stuff like this, but i figured I'd put in my two cents about it :D. I think its a little big. Judgeing by the picture of him it should be a bit more sized down (tryed to do it in my pic) I think it could look good with some work. Keep up the good work!

Oooh! I like the fur thing. Better make sure the background looks cold, though... I wouldn't want to wear that in the summers of Spain.

Damn man! You know what? You're a genious with Photo Shop!!!

I guess I'll just use your image as the "prop": it's just a matter of doing a bit of copy/pasting with the animated file... or better yet: could you make that one image bigger? (provided I send you a bigger render, something like 320x384 or twice that much)

Preview time! :P

First look at his ancient age, plus a redone medieval era, and industrial era (and most importantly, Corn Shucker's modern era, which I hope he'll make in a bigger size so I can use it in the final version)

And a question: should he use some kind of head gear on the first era?

ShiroKobbure

do you need something for ancient?
I really like everything. Medivil is great!

I really don't know... I'm not sure if he needs some kind of hat right now or not, since he does look kinda "naked" to me now :P

But anyway, thanks for the compliments

Wouldn't change the Ancient... looks good the way it is: Pure and simple!

Modern looks too much like Industrial.

Looks great to me.

Maybe you could put a some kind of small insignia on his garrison cap in the modern era.

Modern looks too much like Industrial.

That's why I'm making another modern era, for those of you who think WWII would be industrial era

The modern era background looks a little weird. With that big fur coat on him it would look better if he was outdoors.

Well, Franco was wearing his uniforms till he died- just look at Fidel Castro... still the same stuff every day... I wonder what his closet looks like :P

LOL, exactly. Though the extra modern era I'm planning to make would not look like Franco in his last years (since I would need to leave him the way he looks on Ind or Mod), but on any recent Spain president (just a suit, and perhaps some extra little details to spice it up a bit)

Oh... ok.

So... would anyone with good skills at Photoshop like to try doing the fur thing like Corn Shucker did? (but with a bigger image)

Yeah If you send me the bigger one (or post it) I'd be more than happy to do it for you. Thanks too :D I sent you a PM...
