I have had Civ III Gold for a while now. I noticed the last time I took it out that it is getting scratched up from going in and out of the CD drive all the time.
Is there a way to back it up? I have a CD burner and tried making a backup using a trial download backup program (I don't remember the name right now), but the copy won't run.
Does anyone know how to back it up?
Thanks,
Brizz

its the great mystery.
in our EULA it says we are allowed to make 1 backup. But it does not allow us to use this backup to play the game.

Yeah, we're *allowed* to make a backup, but the only way to make a backup is by using "piracy" software. So the "anti-piracy" measures just make it so only pirates can exercise ther legal rights....  :screwy:

I am having the same trouble with my new 'complete" disk 1. since I change from deskop to laptop I am afraid I will scratch it and have to buy a whole new set to playl
with my mac version I can make a .dmg and use it all the time.
Crazy.

So does anyone know how to "pirate" a copy, so I don't end up ruining my original? (I'm being more carfull with it now, but I still don't like it being scratched up.)
Thanks,

If anyone does, it won't be discussed here. We have zero-tolerance on piracy in these forums.
