well I installed a mod who replaced the pedialcons.txt file and it hadn't any TECH_<technology> in it so I can't play Civ right now so I need the "standard" one. please give it to me :)

Ah, whichever he needs, I'm afraid he will have to reinstall Civ himself to get it, as it's against the rules of the forum to post published material from Civ itself like that!

well I'd need the "vanilla" one, because as my sign says I just have Civ3, no expansions.. but if Plotinus is right then I guess I have to reinstall it.. just that I don't want because I have spiced it up with stuff hereafrom but I guess I can save it.. if I really need to.. it'd be easier to just get that little file :)

I fought over this the last time this issue surfaced, but this time I'm more confident about my chances as it's about vanilla Civ.

Sharing Pediaicons.txt of the original Civ3 is in no way piracy. Nothing can be done with it unless you own the game, it's included in 90% of mods and it doesn't even contain any kind of artwork. OK, it can be argued that Ken the Great may own an incomplete pirated version that only needs pediaicons.txt, but the chances of that being the case are extremely slim.

Well I did something similar for someone a few months ago and was temporarily banned for it. So I would say it's illegal to post it here.

Though I would guess there would be nothing against e-mailing it to them.

well I'm reinstalling it now but saved all files but the text ones, feels pretty weird to reinstall the whole game for such a small file :P
