Not specifically, but reinstalling might work.

I just heard about Civ IV, so I got the bug to play Civ III last night. I tried installing on my XP SP2 system and received an error about ikernal.ex_ (sorry, don't remember the exact text). Assuming it was SP2, I removed it, and it installed fine (Civ III and Conquest).
This isn't really an answer, just my observation.

I don't think you can, other than completely reinstall XP, sorry :sad:
