I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but it would be very helpful if the "advisors" would give some more cautionary advice.

There are times when you forget certain embargo or alliance agreements you have made, and then make a decision which would contradict these agreements. It would be helpful if the advisor would warn you that you had made an agreement 15 turns ago that you shouldn't break.

The advisors, in civ3, are useless, all they do is to say you need to build tanks, or you should acquire ressources.
